What to do......

Ok, so basically I haven't logged onto runescape since the beginning of last summer. I'm not going to harp on it because this thread isn't about RS changes, but I have been playing since rs classic and I quit after free trade update, it was the most irresponsible greedy thing I've ever seen Jagex do and to me it ruined the game.

Now that that is out of the way, I REALLY want to come back. Myself and my brother have twin chaotic/korasi pures, you might remember the names if you played in old wilde, lP lUl lR lE and IP lUl lR lE. We had so much fun and he is my roommate in college now, a few days ago we were remembering all of the fun stuff we used to do and the stuff we would come up with to kill people, etc.......We have played League of Legends for since we quit RS about 7 months ago but LoL just can't fill that gap if you know what I mean. There is no other MMO like runescape, it was unique and we were good and that's a good feeling to hang with your bro and run around killing and dying sometimes, it was just a good past time.

My question, now that bot's have been (at least for awhile) nuked, has the community changed at all? We quit because with the introduction of free trade wilderness went to crap. With people buying money left and right, bots running rampant, etc........pretty much everyone made turmoil pures around our level and in addition to them thousands of people just one itemed all day long. All of the people we used to fight against and along side quit because it just wasn't worth it, going into the wilderness was almost guaranteed loss of gold and a frustrating experience. We hung on longer than most but eventually we too left the crumpled remains of what used to be a great game.

With the nuke of bots and just the factor of time passing by, Jagex updates, school and a million other factors, has RS finally become a game worth playing again? Are there worlds that have a decent amount of people pking to constitute a night of pking with a brother? Are they all one itemers or will it actually be fun dying a few times and killing a few people and who knows just breaking even for the night?

I'm sorry I know it was a wall of text and for anyone who read it I appreciate the time, I really do. I know it might sound stupid but I just really miss the "good ole days" and if any fragment of them is left I would gladly pay $7 a month to mess around with my bro like I used to.

I'm sure that Pk is still fun if you are rich and have enough to risk whatever you wear.

 

Thanks for the response guys, I think I may have more luck/fun in high risk, I think that is what Doyourthang was suggesting I'm not sure, but at least in high risk I can't get one itemed, I will just have to be more careful and pick my target wisely I guess.

 

When you say PK with your brother I'm going to assume you mean in a multi-combat zone. Depending on your combat level, there may or may not be people for you to fight together. Around the low level multicombat zone near the hollow tree, varities of combat level pkers from ~~ 50-90 combat pkers are there but it all varies from the time of day.

As for edgeville pking, it can be fun for a while but yes there is still loads of pjers, raggers, and 1 itemers and hybridding is nearly dead.

I'd say you and your bro should get a little group of friends and test multi pking in the main pking worlds, I've had some fun nights with friends doing so but its all circumstancial depending on time, place you're pking, and amount of people in that world.

 

Thank you for your input BSGPSeller! Yes we usually frequented multi as we are twins currently, maxxed korasi/chaotic so around 91 combat. We have a few other friends we are trying to get to come back, last night i spent hours on runescape just testing out different ways to get some money to get my bank back (since the bots got nuked there are a lot of methods that are back to a decent income), and I also spent a big chunk of time just running around wilderness seeing what sort of activity I could find, and I was pleasantly surprised.

 

Ever Since Bot Nuke, Lots of legit players.. Meaning Noobs Who Couldn't set up bots. etc. many Beginner Pk'ers so i'm pretty sure you guys will have some luck

@IzzyTheSellz, yea I figured and have seen that scammers come out of the woodworks when freetrade hit. I guess some people just see dollar signs and that's it. I love when I get a kill on someone in wilderness but that's about as far as I'd go when it comes to taking from others. Anything past that and morals begin to become an issue and at the end of the day, it's just a game. Luckily 99% scams get out in the open very quickly so not too big of an issue for me anyways.
