Spend about $5000 on BTC and leave the rest of the money in your bank. Don't have dead weight, attempt to make it increase.

 

id put 5k-10k into stocks/bonds and the rest into bank

See thats one thing about me if i do invest im not sure i have time to watch the market every single day. So i guess i would be looking into more long term investments. I have a few stocks i bought a few years ago 10 shares of google, 20 shares of marboral, and 20 of entergy company. Thanks for the words tho.

One of the better post iv read. To start off completly agree with you about bitcoins i could never get my self to invest into that its way to risky. Also Thanks for your words about my time in service means alot. Opening a bussiessnes would be a great idea. Im currently bank with a Local FCU bank so that might do me some good. Have a credit score of 670 i believe it was last time i checked it atleast. I like to gamle but i dont do it much and when i do its with little amount of money. Im not really the family type either. As i said on one of my post on here i totaly agree im not planning on getting rich off 25 grand its not alot of money. Just dont want to blow it and want to put it to some kinda good use you know..
I own my car and i share a house with my best mate so im good on all of that. Might fix it up alittle more tho its something to think about for sure. Thanks brian.

Personally I would buy royalties or go stock market, if you don't need to spend it, then get it to generate even more income for you.

9 rules is pretty short, I'd recommend reading the intelligent investor by Benjamin Graham and the alchemy of finance by George Soros. If you want to invest your own money knowledge is the key and timing the market comes with knowledge. Keep up to date with the news and invest in something you believe in not through your gut alone but by researching as well. If you want to have passive investments then do what many have recommended and invest in a mutual fund or index fund which diversifies the risks for you and offers decent returns.

 

Make your own decent levels ETF.

Make sure you don't buy popularized stock options as you will lose everything.

 

Purchase a home in gatineau quebec or greater toronto area (canada). Home values are a pretty safe investment there, and first time home owners only require a 5% down payment. Rent it out and let it pay for itself. You cannot lose money. Over a 10 year period your house value will increase. In 6 decades there hasnt been a home thats lost value from when you purchased it to 10 years down the road. Super safe investment.

 

Take a loan and buy a home in the centre of Amsterdam, and rent it out. Price of the home will only go up, and you'll get a steady income off the rent.
