What is your motivation?

Nothing just talking shit here and there and giving some advise no real motivation its a cool place just chilling laid back waiting for school to start again.

Community, LoL and in general the conversation to be had with users/exusers of the site.

 

Cool, good to get your input. I've noticed you were fairly active within LoL.

 

There are some "prople" on the website that I return here daily to either speak to or observe (no stalking, I assure you).

Also, every time I type the letter "w" in to my browser, Sythe.org is the first website to pop up.
I am quite active on the forums daily, yet my posting on the forums may not accurately reflect that.

I enjoy frequenting the League of Legends forums, Community forums, participating in Community (or CDT) events, and seeing what changes/releases are being made in the gaming community. Of course, I'll also post in the Spam Forum/Sand Box here and there and report threads/posts as well.

After being a part of the website for so long and have some sort of established reputation, if feels more like a home to visit every day rather than just another site on the web. Also, the daily activies I may perform on the site seem more like an every day task rather than a responsibility.

I agree with some of your pros. I agree with some of your cons. I just hope that the website will continue to grow or at least be restored to having a more active community from years ago. It seems to be on that path, but if there's one thing for sure- I won't ever leave this website indefinitely.

My position as an admin will always be my primary motivation, but I really hope we can pull away from RS as the main userbase focus and generate a greater draw from other sources.

 

Personally from what I've seen, I'd say the trouble with that is that few of the other games represented here (and indeed few games available online) match the black market userbase of Runescape. And as this is primarily a black market site, that's still the main attraction to many new users. Because, to some extent, if they aren't involved in the black market they may as well just turn to the main game forum.

Edit: although being unfamiliar with most other game, I don't know which do or don't have a dedicated forum on their site, so perhaps if any games don't have that this site may have an appeal for the discussion side of things.

 

You of all people should have the power to do this, no? Create the draw from the other sources. Promote the other sources more, move the site around, etc.

 

Pros:
expansive community, nice and friendly people.

Cons;
some undercover scammers, always the risk of being scammed. but thats why we have mm/omms

overall this community is pretty safe tbh.

 

Power of the people; majority don't want that and will cause a massive shift in activity.

My motivation for coming back over the last 7 in a half years has got to be the market. I've lost a lot of money due to scammers but I still keep coming back and I tend to find trusty people here and there. My weed is deffff a big a motivation to get on here and chat

Pros: I can sell and buy rs shit and just chill till classes start up
cons: Scammers fer sure

 

Ahh then that's another good thing about Sythe then if the community has the majority of the power.

Srs tho, just enjoy hanging out and chatting with people. I used to market, but have no interest anymore in that. All about the community now.
