What is the most ridiculous excuse

What is the most ridiculous excuse someone has given you as their reasoning for not going first? If you were able to convince them otherwise that you have vouches/can use a middleman/ect how did you do so?

Mine was from this dude who wanted to sell me 300m rs3, which I normally would not buy since its small, but the dude said he needed money. I told him I am payment ready and he just has to go first. He said going first is against his religion and that no one actually trades gold. The dude hardly spoke any English

 

Iv'e had quite a few funny excuses.

1. Just trust me, it's faster and we won't need to ''bother'' a middleman.
2. Religion. I'm a muslim, I can't scam. Physically. Cannot scam.
3. I'm in a rush, need to take my daughter to school. (It was 5pm in his time zone).

 

By saying he flipped $1700 profit by going first.
