What happens when you die?

I've been made aware that jagex has made some changes to what happens to your items after you die, but what exactly happens to them for other people? I was just at rock crabs training when I saw someone die, and instead of items appearing just bones appeared. The bones then disappeared after a minute and the items never came up. Do items just disappear now?

 

There is a 30 minute timer for a user to obtain any lost items other than untradeables which turn into coins equivalent to their alching price.

 

Items don't appear for other people upon death. This was done to disincentivize DDOSing.

 

The items don't disappear, they would appear after 30 minutes if he doesn't pick them up himself.

 

When you die you keep all untradables as long as you aren't in lvl 20 wilderness. There is a 1 hour death timer. In PvP you have 20 minutes to get your untradables off the ground. If you die outside of PvP you keep imbues on rings.

 

Dcscape caused JaGex to be fairer when dying.

 

30 minute timer to pick up your items, but if you had any untradeables on you they will stay in your inventory. (Unless you're pking)
