fallout 4 faction?

So I'm sorta stuck on which to choose, specifically between the Railroad and the Institute. On one hand, I think I have the moral high-ground (me personally) to choose the Railroad. On the flip side,

my character has found his son and chances are if a person were in my character's situation he'd do everything he could to side with his son. My idea here is that maybe my character feels that he could make a better institute as director, and have free synths without the radicalism of the Railroad. But, killing the Railroad leaders like Father demands is detrimental to this.

Not sure which way to go. What do you guy think? Which faction did you choose?

 

I chose the Institute. I admire their survival skills & essentially utopian society. The Railroad seems like a bit of fanatics (though not as much as the Brotherhood of Steel), and they didn't convince me enough that they had the moral superiority over the Institute.

change how the Institute sees Synths despite being director.

So, blew it to all hell and stuck with the RR. I don't regret it, so far.

 

I actually found the Institute the least appealing out of the factions..

They kidnapped your son and killed your wife, kidnapped/tortured/killed other innocents to replace them with synth spies, treat sentient synths as slaves, did a whole bunch of experiments with FEV and created super mutants, and the fact that they are living in this utopia underground with extremely advanced tech while the world has gone to shit above ground.. not a big fan :idea:

For me, the RR and Minutemen had the most agreeable ideologies. I ended up siding with the BOS for my first run-through because they seemed the most capable of taking on the Institute, and their entrance scene was incredibly badass. Either way I was very pleased with that final explosion. Will probably do another playthrough with the RR later on.

 

I personally always go with the institute.... My first play-through, I just rammed through it, thinking I'd go back and do other stuff after the main quest - Turns out too much of everything i faction related... Second play through I did all faction quests up to the point where I HAD to choose, in which case I chose the Institute again...
