Norton is worse then McAfee.

Its not legal but nothing these days is, downloading movies etc, but who cares the whole world does it lol.

I would say, Kaspersky.
PC World, has a good review about the program.
It uses high detection of spyware & viruses.
But somehow ESET Smart Security has an advantage.
Right now I'm using PC Tools Threafire 3.5 and Avira Premium because Kaspersky slows down my computer.

I used Norton for about a year. After uninstalling it and installing AVG Free Edition, guess what? I found 3 or so Trojans that Norton had overlooked, fully updated. Norton is a terrible piece of software. It doesn't protect your PC very well at all.

Are you sure you don't just support Norton because you've never given any other software a fair go? Norton is pretty much bottom of the list, even compared to free anti-viruses.

AVG because it's free and very easy to use.

Windows Live OneCare actually uses the same anti-virus engine that is in Microsoft's network security products. It is very good. I don't know about the other components of OneCare, though.

I use Nod32 on my machine. McAffee and Norton are resource hogs and AVG wanted me to reboot every 3 seconds.
