Hey guys, I am an Australian looking for a way to receive payment for virtual goods, without the risk of being charged back.

I've heard of western union and people saying that it not possible to charge back. Is this true? Can someone explain to me their systems?

    Thank a bunch guys!

Bitcoins and Western union both cannot be reversed. Western Union charges some pretty big fees, both from the senders side and on the receiving side (if the currency has to be converted from USD to AUD in your case)

As aforementioned, hard currencies is what you're ideally seeking. But then again, if you take the necessary precautionary methods for soft currencies, such as that of PayPal, you reduce your chances of a chargeback immensely. An example would be to require an email from the purchaser's PayPal email to prove that it is indeed the owner. Although, these methods aren't fullproof.

Ultimately, Western Union and Bitcoin are the two options I'd recommend. Both have the advantage of being a safe payment method - However, they both have disadvantages. Western Union generally has large fees that can defer some traders, and Bitcoin is a very volatile currency that can go up or down a fair amount overnight. They also both share the disadvantage of not a lot of traders using it due to not enough knowledge.

With western union once the money is received it can not be charged back, however if you are paid western union the sender can cancel the order until the money is received.
