So this is the lilly case again? The guy who scammed on Skype, I dont think people got a PM and he just scammed and got away with it will he was caught or something.

This is just an example. But if someone trades $1000s worth of gold, going on about his day like he's been doing with big traders. They could just scam him because the last Skype PM will be too old, and they'd just claim to be hacked. There's a couple flaws that allows scammers to scam easily, get away or not.

Is it really that hard to ask for another PM? I always ask a PM moments before the trade and guess was? It takes less than 1min.

You may as well enforce the rule that for every trade a PM is required. We have members like stakers or lucky gamblers that pop on every so often to dump a few hundred or thousand dollars worth of gold. They have a trusted buyer added (as an example) who they have been selling to the past few years on and off. They dont come on Sythe often. Possibly forget, or dont bother, asking for a PM. The trusted buyer sees an opportunity and fucks him over. It's like giving trusted people a chance to scam without getting caught. This was done before, thousands of dollars was lost.

 

What would you say about an outdated PM? How long till it's considered invalid? Because I don't see a difference if it's a day or a month. People can get hacked overnight.

Ask the PM just prior to the trading, problem solved. Don't have to be a genius to figure that out. This sugarcoating is useless, if someone is stupid enough to get skemmed then no protective actions from sythe staff is going to stop that.

PM's are generally valid during the process of a trade (as the trade occurs).
