Honestly, leveling an account from 1-30, you'll learn. It's more of a game you just have to play to learn man. But if you need tips just keep watching youtube videos and watch some LCS games.

Yeah just gotta practice it up man.

The way MMR works, you'll be getting put (mostly) with players that are at your own skill level anyway. I think after 50 games you'll have a basic idea of how the game works. Learning what other champs can do will come in time. I wouldn't recommend watching LCS games at all, just watch other people play (streamers or random guides).

You can also spectate players who is playing currently on twitch.tv
Just note the majority of these players are professional players and they're actions may seem alien to you, but by doing this you will increase your knowledge, terminologies, and be well suited for future games as you play along.

So like the others said, just play, its okay to fail, the community will be harsh on you but just mute them if it gets annoying. Play your game and have fun, pick the champion(hero) that you enjoy the most, and never feel forced to pick anything else.

Posted this for a member before, found it and am quoting xD

Hmm, well first that's a good way to improve however. I'll give you a list of suggestions.

1. Know how to build your champions, look up guides on mobafire.com or solomid.net

The guides will give you in-depth tactics and skill building sequences for your champion.

2. Know your counters and know how play against them. Basically this is comes from experience but there are tips that can definitely help.
Go to championselect.net for tips!

3. As you mentioned, watch videos on guides for certain champions possibly, or watch pro-players stream on twitch.tv
Players from different LCS (championship series) teams stream all the time. So just take a look whenever you'd like.

3.Practice, practice, practice! As they say practice makes perfect. It definitely will help you get better.

By gaining your own experience through playing League you will be able to know when to trade against players, farm properly, team fight better, know your own limits, and basically know the game.

If you think you'll learn league after a couple of games you'd be wrong. It takes hundreds of hours playing to learn the game to a decent standard, and even thousands to master.
Just keep playing games and eventually you'll learn how everything works.

League is a slooow learning process.

Thats why most of the dota fanboys call league bad after playing 1 game of it.

Well IMO dota is more tough than league

but in general, people who've actually tried league and hate it are most of the time impatient peeps

It's all about playing the game and getting to know it better. No one is good right away as it is all about practice and how much you play.

Just play the game and eventually you'll improve, it takes time to play the game at a standard level. To learn a champion or a role better you can check some LoL pro players stream or some guides at probuilds.net or solomid.net.

Add my skype or hit up twitch.tv and watch some of the nooby streams to learn what the ropes!
