Wallet 4 BTC?

hey, just realised my current wallet (wallet.btc.com) is a big poop and i would take suggestions for a new wallet.

 

Buy a hardware wallet where you can store you BTC offline and still have access to your private keys, much safer than storing your coins with an online wallet. Not your key, not your coins.

Try to look into Legder or Trezor wallet. Preferly buy this direct from the source as it reduces you changes the device has been tempered with. I personally use a Ledger X wallet for years now and I would recommend it.

I bought a trezor. Make sure you dont buy these 2nd hand as they can be recovered using the recovery codes.
Been using it for a few months now and its goat.

You can, but keep in mind you don't really own any Bitcoins you send there meaning they or a third party with access can do anything with them. If you don't own your private key, someone else is in control. Now I must tell blockchain.info, Coinbase and LocalBTC are proven to be trusted over the past years. However as they're big names naturally they're are being target by hackers all around, they still can still steal 'your' Bitcoins.

For day to day payments you can use them, compare them with your wallet. You put some cash in there to pay for daily stuff. If your lose your wallet you did not lost your retirement.

If you decided to long term invest in crypto and you don't need them in short then I highly recommend putting them on an offline hardware wallet. Only you will have access to this so this is the safest option (Unless you are yelling around the internet you own 300 BTC and live in Russia ).

I would highly recommend a ledger offline wallet, order one directly at https://shop.ledger.com to make sure the device in genuine, they are pretty cheap. You get 24 random words setting your device up which will be your backup if your device breaks or you lose it. Store those words offline and make sure they are not stored as a file on your PC/Phone etc...

 

I would also recommend a Ledger, bought one myself and it is the most secure way of storing your cryptocurrency.
Only downside is that you can only store like 3-4 different cryptos per ledger.

 

Ledger, can't stress this enough. Own your crypto!

 

Electrum is a pretty cool wallet

 

just use blockchain or coinbase if you are using it for daily basis and low amount to store on.
If you're looking to store alot of btc as like savings then I suggest buying a cold wallet like a trezor.

 

Blockchain.com/.info is garbage, they force you to pay 40%+ in avoidable transaction fees since they haven't upgraded to Segwit addresses, and they don't even support sending to the new bc1 address format. I recommend Wasabi, especially for privacy. It uses Tor by default and client side block filters to preserve your privacy. Electrum is also an excellent wallet, they are merging lightning in the next major release.
