We trust an official middleman because they get vote's wether they should be accepted by the mod's(I think). If they don't feel they are trustworthy enough they don't get it.

Example2 : You don't need any rank to be trusted, having a rank doesn't make you more trusted unless it is of the following.

(1) Administrator.
(2) Moderator/Global Moderator
(3) Official MM

 

To be honest, who are you? Out of nowhere comes someone with an Asian name applying for user ed, and now claim they are more trustworthy because of it?

You say a donator is more trustworthy then a regular member, who's to say people who donate alot of gp didn't scam it?

Those with old join dates would generally be more trusted then someone who has joined the same month they are trying to do a trade in, why you may ask? it could be that they've spent time here, they have been loyal to the site, and if they've been here that long there is less chance of being a scammer, as they have not been banned.

user ed rank is by making guides, so it has NO effect on your trustworthyness at this site, look at six for example, he was HUE and he was a scammer.

are you kidding me? this server is a dedicated server, and with the traffic it receives, and attacks, it is top-of-the-notch, i think i remmemebr Sythe saying somewhere it costs 150+ USD per month.

Mitz is a scammer, and he used to spend all day every day in the irc, so does that make him trustworthy?

So if i was to remove all my ranks, and just live of my many mod vouches i'd not be considered as trustworthy as with my two ranks? freq. irc and user ed.?

Vouches for big trades get you respect. Join date and post don't add trustworthiness, but a sense of security for the buyer/seller because they have been active on sythe.

However, I've been scammed a number of times by people with high post counts, and late join dates. Like I said, big vouches count.

Lol, what a bunch of bullshit. Nobody knows if you're really dedicated to the community just because of your rank. We don't know you are in rl, what you do etc. Some people can act as if they are very dedicated, actually, I remember one guy that gained everyone's trust, he seemed so dedicated. Guess what? He scammed a huge amount in the end.

 

Which is exactly what has happened in the past, multiple times from what I've seen. Then what? They make a new user and within a month or two they've donated again, same rank back, happens again. Which is exactly why Oh Jesus is saying that ranks don't always buy trust, although this fella seems to think they do.

Admins
Mods
Official MM

Look at Quality and TMM. They both had honourable donator and almost had official, but both got ownt by the staff. I'm sorry, I just can't get over the fact that this kid joined 5 days ago, and now has two ranks, and the post count of a one month old member. That's just kinda suspicious, in my book.
