VPSes for botting - Talk about them here!

I'd advise against rsxvps. I decided to try them and they scammed me 18£ and went down for two weeks of service, not to mention their promise of 48 hours for every 24 hours of downtime was false. I submitted numerous tickets all which were deleted and not answered. PhotonVPS was the best VPS provider I have had.

 

Sad to hear you got scammed by RSX, I've tried all I can to get a full dox on "leeves" But I got as far as confirming the house registered to his name belonged to a dead man.

As TJ said it is a Virtual Private Server - It is used by most of the world for webhosting, or backups. etc. In the Runescape world it is used for hosting Macro's 24.7. I bought two 24gb VPS' from RSXVPS on 12-month contract, and they have now proceeded to run away with everybody's money.

Two Thirds of the money was paid via PayPal, so I have submitted a claim asking for a chargeback. However if PayPal ask for proof that I don't have the VPS, what should I provide? I have emails of my IP's I was sent, and I could video myself trying to connect?

Also, when I purchase another VPS, does anybody have any reccomendations? It must be an official registered company I don't want to sign up to any old website like rsxvps, I want a proper registered company.

 

If you contact paypal by phone, and tell them whats happening you should be fine.

I dont think anyone would like RSX, seems like no one in the UK, or any of his clients tried to take legal action against him. Another scammer on the run. About your support issue, VPS4RSB garantees a response within 30 minutes if its a support ticket.

Ive been reading up on vps's lately, when you purchase what ever plan your after are you using your own internet to run bots or the vps servers? also is the fee annually monthly or a one off fee?

Pretty disappointed, for the moment, about VPS4RSB Xen's VPS.
I've purchased a 3GB Xen VPS, 3 days ago, used to work decently but now that I've came to test it, it's SUPER slow.

Using 1GB of RAM for 3 bots and can't even open more bots or it crashes. SeerHost could run 6 on a 2GB, with no problems.

 

I heard SeerHost's customer service is horrible, though?

 

Never took me more than a day for a ticket, usually, it takes less than 12 hours.
Sure thing, VPS4RSB are fast for customers service but they can barely support RSBuddy bots, which I don't understand, considering that RSBuddy doesn't take much CPU nor RAM.
