@video account recovery continued

Well all discussion (if any) is being done privately and still no update?

 

@bob1337sythe2 I'm sorry to see how long this case has been going on. I've reviewed both reports as well as @video's thread in the staff lounge.

There is something I'm waiting on, but it shouldn't take too long to resolve. As such, I hope to post a final decision within 48 hours.

@bob1337sythe2 Sorry for the delay. I asked @video to request the OO make a final recovery attempt of the account, as past attempts may have been denied due to the number of requests coming in at the time. Unfortunately, the appeal was denied. As a result, @video will be required to refund $600 since he sold the account to @Eut, gave permission to resell the account, and did not provide any recovery details. In addition, I reviewed the dispute over whether it should be $500 or $600 owed and determined there is enough evidence available for the $600 figure to be awarded in this case. As for items or wealth, there is no evidence for what was lost on the account due to a recovery, so the responsibility will fall on @bob1337sythe2 for that.

Finally, @bob1337sythe2's account was banned over 3 months ago for being hacked and @AleVar was scammed 100M 07 as seen here: bob1337 scam report - 100M osrs

Since users are responsible for their Sythe account(s), a portion of the $600 owed by @video will be used to provide a full refund to @AleVar for the scam that occurred. The remainder will then be paid to @bob1337sythe2 for a full resolution of the case.

Ok thank you for the reply, as I said before what about items on the account I left significant wealth on there (i never paid back the 100m as my money was on the account which is now gone).

You can see I was buying significant gp before my ban as "proof" of this, this was an account I held for a year I had a load of merchanting stuff etc on it

So what is happening when am I getting my money. Still not entirely happy with the decision on no refund on my bank on the account because it was significant as well btw. What would you want to see in terms of proving I had the wealth on the account, is the significant gold bought in my vouches very recently before the recovery not enough?

 

I'm sorry, unfortunately they won't value that as much as you'd think. The reasoning behind this is the fact that they can't be sure whether or not the gold you purchased was destined for that account.

As for accurate proof that said value was actually on the account, perhaps you can check your OSBuddy. If the option "Screenshot" is on, perhaps you'll find some pictures that OSBuddy took with some value on the account. Perhaps you yourself have taken screenshots of any kind prior to the recovery?
