I found vicodin 7.5/750 aka hydrocondone/ acetaminophen in medicine drawer. What would happen if I take one pill of it?

Vicodin is a pain pill, that for most people, makes you very tired. Vicodin is VERY addictive, so taking one won't kill you. I suggest you don't take it, but if you took it, nothing bad would happen, aside from the possibility of becoming addicted.

As said, it's a painkiller. It'll make you drowsy and such. I'd advise not taking any pills which you have no knowledge on at all unless you've been told to take it by a doctor.

You're not going to get "high" off of it if that's what you're expecting. Don't take random pills. You learn this as a child.

You don't get high off it if you eat it as it won't do much, if you snort it you can get high off of it, but its not much of a high. Its better to leave it be because someone is probably taking it for pain.

It's a painkiller, so of course it will get you high. They are as addicting as they are for a reason. It's not a random pill either considering he knows what it is.

I would recommend you not take it. Opiates are very addicting and you'll always know what it feels like once you try them. I've been hooked on them on and off for over 8 years now starting since I took my first Percocet when I got a prescription for getting my wisdom teeth taken out. Out of all the drugs out there, nothing comes close to satisfying me like opiates do. I'm not addicted to them anymore, but the psychological dependency definitely isn't an easy thing to get rid of. I'm not saying you're for sure going to get hooked and chances are real slim considering it's only one 7.5mg, but I still wouldn't risk it.

Umm wrong. That's terrible advice. You definitely don't want to snort a Lortab. It's way too much powder and it also has Acetaminophen in it, which isn't water soluble. Not only is it a complete waste snorting it, but it isn't safe either. The only way you should take them is orally. Yes, a 7.5mg probably won't do that much, but painkillers will no doubt get you high. It's also a hell of a high and shouldn't be taken lightly.

7.5mg of Hydrocodone or 750mg of Acetaminophen isn't going to cause an overdose.

I took Vicodin for 2 weeks and all it made me feel was drowsy. But I suppose it varies between people.

    vicodin 7.5 750

A perscription, schedule III, narcotic analgestic (pain killer) containing hydrocodone and acetaminophen (Tylenol). Hydrocodone is actually an opiate, like heroin, that gives an amazing euphoric body high but it's also very addictive (although not nearly as addictive as heroin). Vicodin also has very severe withdrawal effects, similar to those of heroin, although not as severe.

Vicodin is perscribed for mild to severe pain often after a surgery, but sometimes for long-term use. Vicodin is produced by Knoll Labratories and comes in three varieties. Vicodin (5 mg hydrocodone, 500 mg acetaminophen), Vicodin ES (7.5/750), Vicodin HP (10/660). There is also many generic variants of Vicodin.

Vicodin is often taken for recreational use because it gives an amazing, euphoric body high. Vicodin is most commonly taken orally in pill form or crushed up and insufflated (snorted). Snorting results in slightly more powerful effects which come into effect much faster. Acetaminophen is extremely harmful to the liver in high doses (2,000+ mg) so often times, for recreational use, people will extract the hydrocodone from the pill resulting in an extremely vile liquid which can be taken orally or rectally via syringe (not very common, but people do it).

The most common side effects include itching, nausea, paranoia, and intense sweating even if it's not really hot...

Taking 7.5 mgs of hydrocodone wouldn't do much to you on it's own, depending on your size/weight. Unless you are actually experiencing some kind of pain, I wouldn't even bother taking any.

Here is a huge life lesson I can pass along to you that I had to learn the hard way: Don't fuck around with opioids.

vicodine is highly addictive for certain people, my brother for example broke his arm and he had been prescribed em. He got addicted to them and took them for almost 2 years after his original prescription(bought them from people) and it basically ruined his life. My advice? don't take them.

I took 2 pills today which was all I had left because I only had 3 to start out with. So I'm never doing anymore. It felt really good for the first hour and I had to floaty feeling and thought everything was going to be okay. Then an hour later I got really bad nausea but couldn't throw up and I felt like complete crap. It's been like 8 hours and I still feel slightly nauseous and I am extremely tired.

Opiates have some pretty nasty side affects for inexperienced users, ranging from nausea to intense constipation and even a nasty 'hangover' effect after heavy use.

Consider yourself lucky, and it sounds like you learned a good lesson from the experience ;)

I had to skip school today because I felt sick. The nausea came back but by the end of the day it became really mild. Right now I feel really mild nausea once and a while, and it feels like I am having difficulty breathing. I don't know whether it's really hot outside or if there is something wrong with me. I feel like a total dumbass right now. Anyone know how long the negative effects last? I can't go see a doctor because my parents will find out I took the vicodin.

That's not normal. The effects have never lasted more than 5-6 hours for me even the first few times I ever took painkillers. I guess everyone is different though and some people are allergic to them. If you can handle whatever you're feeling, then I suggest you wait a little longer before you do anything about it. Even if it was the Vicodin, you still didn't take enough for it to cause any damage to your body. If you were allergic to them, then the symptoms would be much more severe. You would have also felt it once they kicked in and they wouldn't have lasted nearly this long.

That doesn't really mean anything. They may not be as strong, but it's not going to make you sick just because they're expired.
