1 - What is HTML?

HTML is the predominant markup language for web pages.
It provides a means to describe the structure of text-based information in a document — by denoting certain text as links, headings, paragraphs, lists, and so on — and to supplement that text with interactive forms, embedded images, and other objects. HTML is written in the form of tags, surrounded by angle brackets.

I will just go over some very simple basics.


2 - Simple Tags

Some simple HTML tags are:
<HTML> </HTML> - the most important tags.
<BODY> </BODY> - the main body of text
<B> </B> - bold
<p> </p> - paragraph
<center></center> - Centers your text


3 - Hello World

To practice HTML, go to www.practiceboard.com

To start off you should make a hello world test.

This is my hello world test.

for centering text.
