Vending machines at highschools.

Before I begin, here's a short story; Today I was heading to my third period class and happened to have $1.50 in my pocket. Since I had to pass vending machines on the way to class, I bought a mars bar. Dang. That really wasn't worth it. >>

Considering they're mostly filled with junk and the amount you pay is pretty high considering the cost of a whole box of junk... What do you guys think about vending machines in schools?

i think theyre not that bad.. the prices are high, but if u dont have a mall or a store near your school then a drink from the vending machines isnt that bad of an idea

Fat kids my ass.. i use vending machines once in awhile whenever i want a snack.. If you think its overpriced it's simple just don't buy.

btw im 6'0 and weigh about 145 pounds so im about average weight for my size

Yea if you really can't afford the extra quarter just ask your mom to buy stuff from the grocery store. Like when i played basketball i bought a 6 pack of powerade for 5$.. beats spending 2.50 per drink in the vending machine.

Same, at my old high school they only had diet drinks.

 

I don't mind them. It's a free market, and people should be allowed to buy/drink what they wish.

The only vending machines at my school contain just beverages, and everything is diet/calorie free. Haha, plus it's all extremely overpriced.

No idea. Some special thing for the whole school board i think. A healthier lifestyle. Maybe they'll replace it with veggies. Who knows
