Username in Nav Bar

Earlier today/yesterday Syed posted a thread suggesting that the username next to "Log Out" would link to the profile instead of the User CP.

It has been suggested before and had 4 pages~ of support.

In that thread it was stated that a mod would "PM it to Sythe and/or Matthew" but it was never formally stated if it was denied or approved.

n4n0 (accidentally?) closed the newer thread once again without stating if it was approved or denied. So can we get some clarity or why it's not going through if it's denied or something?

In n4n0's post, he states "takes just as long to click." which is untrue, but that's not the point. The point is there are two links in the Nav Bar that are direct links to the User CP and that is, in my opinion, wholly idiotic.

So: Why not make the username link to the users profile?

 

I support this! I have no idea how to find my profile when I need it. I always click that button on accident and it takes me to god knows where. This would be much easier. Sweet Jesus.

 

Shit's whack, son. What a stupid reason to deny something as small as that.

There's two usercp links, and if you check other forums, where the user is formally stated, it almost always links to the public facing profile(IE. Powerbot, and almost every other fucking forum in existence)

 

I support this 100%. Even though I have gotten used to going into "User CP" then "My Profile", I think it would benefit newcomers as they might not realise how to go to their public profile

 

No Support. I actively use that as a means to see my User CP. I would support making "My Profile" more available however.

 

Jack, the UserCP link in the navbar links right to, -guess where- the user cp...

The profile name should link to the public profile.
