User Title clarifications

It's not always about whether the engine can handle it. It's about setting guidelines and rules to maintain order and elegance. A good example of this is signature size restrictions.

 

I mean signature is filled in by users and can be too large, an admin has to personally accept a user title. I can't agree that they are in the same books, I will say there was a suggestion about making a size limit for signatures so users simply couldn't make one too large, idk where that ever went though.

 

Replace signature with user title and large with long and the argument is the same.

I think 50 is reasonable for a UT, though making it 75 would not be much of a stretch either. At $100 donor rank you get to add enhanced titles up to 230 characters which includes your HTML coding.

My initial code was 230 and it worked fine since I tested it, but it seems an admin had to edit it differently, to maybe help the site in some way, and made it longer. There is im sure back end issues which is why these restrictions exist. If it is possible and increasing these limits wouldnt affect the site, then I would maybe increase the character limit for $100 donors+ as richard and matthew want new perks anyway.

 

I agree it's fine as it is, any more and it may cause a spam effect.
However I Would like HTML code to be allowed for all user though.
