Use of Trade With Caution ?

TWC, or Formally know as Trade with Caution is given out when a person is suspected of Scamming/ Have scammed/ Or are thought to intend to scam.

Now, this rank is given out to Help Market users watch out for potential death traps. (Scams) .

I fully support the use of the Rank, under Strict Circumstances.

I have now seen how many times its been given out for no particular reason.and Without a moral sense of trust or belief.

Case Study 1:

Username: Tumma

After a long debate Tumma was given a TWC, because he had 2 sythe accounts. Atomic Was the Summoner of the TWC.

Now Atomic was banned , No one knew why Tumma had Trade with caution Since Atomic was banned.

Tumma was therefore stuck With the Trade with caution.

Case Study 2.

User: i am you aint i?

He Posted a Thread in General Discussion, Now in this thread he admitted to Have had intentions to scam.

So while we are here, lets bring this case into real life.

You see a chance to nick $500 from your fathers wallet, You walk towards it but then, Turn away and convince yourself that this isn't right.

Aren't these two things related?, Why should he get TWC, when Admitted it, Which probably Assures us that he won't try and scam or Scheme to scam.

There wasn't even an Inquest to whether or not he did scam and nothing was proven.

I rest my Case.


Case 3:

So , whats the big deal about a Trade With caution.

1, Its the dignity of that user and all his/her respect ripped out with a few clicks.
2, It makes the Receiving end feel like a total fool, an Unwanted Reject.

Oh, and even though this is the spam sub forum, celebrating people that plan on scamming/ scammers is highly against Sythe.Org.

A person attempts their whole time at Sythe to try and gain a Position in staff, to Help out with the forum and to show they Can , Just purely, that They can do the job too.

Just to have their Chances spoilt by A misunderstanding, Usually.


Of course there are the Few Who deserve the TWC For with obvious proof.

Give it to them.


What i'm just asking is Please make sure the TWC's are given out only when its confirmed To be true.



On another note, Why is the TWC still in use when half the market is closed.

The difference is, i don't know him from Jack. How do you know he's changed? You don't, so i would be trading with caution. It's there for that purpose, to get people to trade with caution, if they see that as a sign to not trade at all, that's their choice.

The TWC rank has become more of a fashion statement rather than a warning now.

I believe that the rank should be removed altogether and replaced with a non "stylish" rank, one made to actually point out the scammers.

i agree with the TWC sign, but with how its being used is totally wrong. Kind of like communism. Communism sounds like a great idea on paper, but once you put it into effect it doesnt work out well.

The trade with caution is nothing more than a warning for traders to take the heat off of Sythe.org in case the suspicious member does eventually take action. If the trade with caution warning wasn't issued it would be more likely for some users to be banned straight off so it is in fact quite useful in aiding those that actually didn't scam.

I think that it should be possible after 6 months of having a TWC, that you could optionally request for Sythe Staff to remove it on a couple of conditions.
1) It will be kept on record that you previously had a TWC although it is removed.
2) Should it be requested again that you receive a TWC, you will be banned instead of simply getting the TWC.

By doing this these TWC users would be able to re-achieve that full respect they complain they've lost but in doing so would either have to stay away from the market or make sure they are very careful in their activities in the market from then on.

I do not trust Macroman because of his TwC and i'm guessing he is more trusted than me.But how do i know?For all i know he can be more trusted than anyone.Mountain Drew was an official MM and got banned.So did conman3030.Tha kid also did even though he was VERY trusted.That shows that you can barely trust anyone because everyone scams.

Although we realize it's possible for people to change, it was stupid of you to be in that mentality in the first place and even dumber to have made it public. I can't see you getting your Trade With Caution removed anytime soon so if you're going to discuss the removal of them it should be in regards to other users who might actually be deserving of having it removed.

Macroman, as much as I like you and value your posts I have to agree with Darkspark here. Your TWC was in essence directly related to your actions, if you want to appeal it you can, in the dispute section.

Lol what are you trying to get out of this? You don't even use the black market and half of it is closed and or closing down. Your not banned or anything, your account ip matches other suspicious accounts simple as that, if your not suspect then just look at your twc and laugh.
