True indeed, mostly this community's faults. But, a less drastic approach would've probably been alot better, because stake-trading was not extremely big and not worth ruining major staking.

Modest much? Actually, it's the gold farmers that caused this. Jagex doesn't really care about the small sales that we do. The gold farmers have much more gp then we do. My guess would be a few accounts with the maxed gp on it.

He says that if enough people are upset about the duel arena update they may consider bringing back original staking as well as having the tournaments...He showed me this site where yea can make petitions.

It isn't completely RL Traders faults. Jagex also wanted to lower the price of rares to make them "a fun item for everyone" again, and seeing as the main source of the high prices of rares was because of duelling, they put this cap on the staking limit.
