Unofficial Sythe Newspaper

I was taking a walk today and I started to think about an unofficial Sythe newspaper. I think it would be really nice to read a newspaper about the community (and other things), made from the community.

The newspaper could include:

- What's happening on Sythe
- Game reviews
- Movies and series reviews
- Interviews with Sythe users
- Interviews with other interesting people
- Some cool graphics
- Technology (phone reviwes and so on)
- And alot more

There would be an editorial, but there would also be space for "freelancers". The newspaper could come out once in a month or something.

If you want to join the editorial, either post here or add me on Skype: sotwnoz.sotwnoz. To join the editorial, it would be great if you hade some knowledge in programs like InDesign or something, but if you don't, it's really easy to learn the basic. I've learnt the basic in just a few lessons in school.

How would this be released to the public, through email or something?

 

Yeah gotta be with Vision above how would we get this? like would it just be a thread created that had all the news or would it be like a downloadable file that we read?

 

This already exists (in a way) - SytheMonthly - Hasn't been done in a few months though...

 

I support this idea just have to find people to maintain it.

 

I'm sure that, if there was something given in return, say for instance, a rank "Sythe Writer" That some people would want to contribute.

 

Sythemonthly always used to exist which in a way was the sythe newspaper, but as wulfspade went inactive it disappeared.

 

A SytheMonthly was done last a few months ago after Wulf let the CDT take it over. We decided to stop soon after because we didn't get much positive feedback.

It could be a download from Dropbox containing a PDF, or maybe I can host it online somewhere.

Although it's a lot of work to make and we didn't receive as much feedback as we'd like

 

Don't want to sound busy or something but when might that be, choosing new members? If it's done in the following weeks there may not be any point to start a newspaper (why have two?), but if it take some time to choose the new members I might start a newspaper hand it over to you when the new members have been choosed. Altough I would like to be in the editorial then, as a new comunnity development member (I applied) or not.

 

I want to make it clear that this is not a suggestion. I want to start a newspaper, with or without the help of the staff (altjough it would be great to have a staff who could be the "boss" of the paper).
