This is why I said I'm not gonna discuss this with you.

Just because something is spread out, doesn't mean it is flat.

Haha, I never pointed to the sky. But your answer was good, you assumed that someone put it there. :)

    How is it Bullshit?

What time in the video does he say that?

What are you trying to imply by showing me that video?

    Thank you.

He is quote-mining and post-predicting. By those I mean that he is going through the Qur'an and finding specific events that can be seen as parallel to past events.

I was answering my own question. By saying people before the scientific method I implied that they might not have logically though, or tested to the fullest extent, their thoughts/actions.

I was showing one of his arguments debunked in a better fashion than I could have.

How do you assume that everything on earth came to be?

He was simply taking something from the quran that was mentioned over 1400 years ago and showing people that recently people have come to know of this knowledge.

That isn't an argument. If there was a greek philosopher or whatever that thought the moon was reflecting, that doesn't mean anything. The guy in the video stated that he thought the moon was reflecting. In the quran, it doesn't say i think the moon reflects, god is saying it does reflect with confidence, there is a difference. Also, even if somehow you were right, the guy lived 1100 years before Muhammed, how did Muhammed an illiterate man from the desert come to know of this?

Evolutionary processes, for the living; abiogenesis, for the soon to be living; plate techtonics, not the dropping of mountains; creative minds of humans, for the structures we're so attached to today.

He's using knowledge of today to make the qur'an seem more valid. He's quote mining.

It isn't an argument; it's a rebuttal and a debunking. Skip one sentence. It's not debunking the whole idea, it's debunking the sentence "Who could have predicted this"(I'm paraphrasing) and then it goes on to list people. This is what concerns me. You're following the words of a illiterate, desert-wanderer who somehow was thought to be the messenger of allah.

I'll tell you that right now all of these arguments are in vain. Neither of us will change our minds, and in the words of the Joker "This is what happens when an unstoppable force meets an immovable object." Your faith is too strong, and I don't easily buy into quote-mining. I will, however, continue to argue for the sake of arguing. I'll learn something from this.

The earth is relatively flat if you're looking at it from the perspective of a human.

Like the fact that the earth is spherical which was known by the greeks long before the writing of the Quaran?

I would assume that a human made it because I've seen humans make machines. I've never seen a god create anything because I've never seen a god to begin with.

I know! The intellectual dark age of Europe, as well as the current intellectual dark age of extremist muslim states is/was clearly brought on by a lack of religion! Owait..

I'll answer the first 2 since I'm using my phone.

Just because it seems flat to humans, doesn't mean it is.

So, you have too see something to believe it happened? Haha, you don't believe in most of the foods you eat because you didn't see them created.

I have to see a reasonable amount of evidence in order to believe that it happened.

I've seen humans preparing food, I've seen farms with food grown on them, and I've seen pictures of slaughterhouses. These things are all demonstrable.

Try applying that same logic to god. Nobody's seen god create anything. Nobody's seen god. No evidence exists that shows that the universe was created by god, as opposed to some natural cycle (an ancient book claiming that god made everything is not reasonable evidence).

On the existence of god, all we have are ancient, archaic writings describing people's many different view on who god/the gods is/are. A belief in god/gods is not founded in science because by definition faith is anti-scientific (that is, blindly accepting something to be true does not fall in line with the scientific method at all).

    Nothing just came to be.

We evolved over, heck if I know, so many years, to what we are today. We're still evolving probably. It's not a matter of who created us, it's what.

The most plausible theologian theory for me is that God placed things with the ability to evolve on this planet.

Anyone else share a similar view? I am an atheist, but to be honest, this theory seems to make sense for me.

I did not state that I believe in it, I merely stated that was the most plausible theory about creationism.

An inspirational video. Does it make sense? Yes. Is the source credible? No.

Out of the thousand of religions, what makes the teachings in the Koran right?

In any religion you will find religious fanatics that each interpret their own beliefs and reasons why their religion, god, teachings, are all true and not some fake story made hundreds of years ago. Point being that none of these texts have a completely credible source.

Your question "Who created humans" is misleading because it assumes that somebody created humans (the classic example of this is "Are you still beating your wife?"). A better question would be "How did humans come to be?"

Humans came to be in their present form via many millions of years of evolution from lower mammals. This is well-documented within the fossil record and other things such as the similarity of our DNA to that of other primates also bear witness to this. No divine intervention necessary.

Through evolutionary processes. It wasn't a "first human" either. Evolution and speciation occurs through groups.

No one knows, or else you wouldn't ask that question. You don't know factually who, how, what created anything, do you?

Lets say god created everything, how did he get here?
No matter what you say, you don't have factual information to back it up.

Evolution means to evolve. In order for something to evolve, there has to be an original for it to evolve from. Lets look back to the beginning of time, who created the first being? It couldn't have evolved, there was nothing for it to evolve from.
