To all christians

1. If God is full of Love and care, why does (s)He let children die? I would understand if God punished only people who've done something wrong, but let's say that the child dies before getting born, what the reason behind that?

Well who says death is a bad thing, let alone a punishment. As a Catholic I believe in Natural Law, if a child dies before getting born, it is beause he/she had a (divine) reason to die.

2. Define "Hell"?

Hell is a place of punishment for the dead (You only said define so I'll leave it at that)

3. Why do you believe? ( in God )

Eh I always have and so I just do, how do you prove your existence?, if someone shows me proof a God doesn't exist I'd stop like that. L0L *robot voice* God didn't create the universe/the old aether-esque theres no reason for god to exist arguments don't count.

4. Again, if God is loving, why does (s)he require us to complete a "test" before proceeding to heaven / hell? After all, we could end up getting in Hell. Why does God let that happen?

There are two types of knowledge about God. Information that we (humans) know about God, and information that God knows about God. We can only know the first kind, we're not privy to divine knowledge, and as such who is to say?

These to start off.

I can't get my head around the idea of "hell".

I mean, in my opinion flames and a big red man with a tail and pitch fork is just ridiculous!

Personally, hell for me would be a place with all your biggest fears and what you hate the most.

Is it just me or does someone else agree?

Since when did anyone say Satan was a red man with a tail and a pitchfork? He is a fallen angel.

So what happens if you had a child and that child was inflicted with diseases at birth which would take its life within a matter of years? Would you see it as justified because of the "divine reason"? I'm pretty sure parents care about their children more than anything else, and such a circumstance would be truly devastating to the parent, Christian or not. My mother's friend is a Christian, yet still mourns the death of her child despite it being something that happened a few years ago.

According to your definition, everyone that dies is punished? You are contradicting yourself here - before you said death isn't necessarily bad, now you say that Hell is a place of punishment for the dead.

Common sense dictates that to raise a point, you need sufficient evidence to back up that point. Christians however raise a point with no evidence, and reject everything that opposes it with the rebuttal "oh you can't prove God is inexistent!" I could say that God is actually the Flying Spaghetti Monster, and could you disprove this?

Is this not just an excuse because even you cannot justify this? God may send a serial killer that believes in heaven, as long as he admits his mistake, but will not send someone who has accomplished great things but is an atheist/ believer of another religion?

I’m not sure what your getting at to be honest. Suffice to say that everything exists for a reason, and everything happens for a reason (Natural Law).
According to your definition, everyone that dies is punished? You are contradicting yourself here - before you said death isn't necessarily bad, now you say that Hell is a place of punishment for the dead.
No, “isn’t” is the key word here, death isn’t necessarily bad. I.E. it could be good or bad. Not too hard eh. Once one dies they go on to be judged. That will determine if they go to hell or not.

I wasn’t raising a point, the OP asked “why do you believe in God”, so I answered, because I always have, I.E. I “just do”. I agree with you entirely though if someone wants to raise a point they do need evidence! I’m not sure why your giving out advice in this post though.
On that note I ask you to systematically prove that God doesn’t exist. For us, neither being able to prove he does or does not exist is enough.
I could say that God is actually the Flying Spaghetti Monster, and could you disprove this?
No I couldn’t, but if you really believed that God is the Flying Spaghetti Monster I would respect that.
Is this not just an excuse because even you cannot justify this? God may send a serial killer that believes in heaven, as long as he admits his mistake, but will not send someone who has accomplished great things but is an atheist/ believer of another religion?
Again what your saying has little or no relevance to what I posted. I was saying that we essentially cannot understand God. You are on about “requirements” (<- and I shudder having to speak about it like this) to get into heaven. Next time please present a orderly argument. To answer your question though, if said serial killer was not truly remorseful he/she would not be admitted. If they came to embrace the teachings of the church and showed remorse (not just to whatever priest they talk to, if they choose to talk to a priest but also to God, they would go through St Peter’s gates.
