Good point. Where there's traders theres also scammers.

 

Sythe is an exceptional trading forum, and what makes it better is the amount work the staff does to keep you safe. Be it easy, be it hard, look at the amount of people who are banned. If you were at any other forum, the chances are that at least half of the scammers would still be roaming the forums looking for prey.

There is quite a lot of down time on Sythe, and I think that's mainly due to the DDoS'ers, no-lifing the hell out of the website. Or it could be due to poor servers. It's always been that way, though, and doesn't bother me all too much. Especially considering how inactive I really am.

Good website though. Not much seems to have changed in the last few years. I don't like change.

 

Well not really extreme activity really, but decent enough considering it deals with Rs haha.

 

The reason it's full of scammers is simple people are shit.
The fact is, this is black market trade and will always be.

Ya, was postponed. I don't think it would get affected either. Don't think Jagex care too much about Sythe, it's more so the botting companies, and big gold farmers, a large part of Sythe is just a community.

I also think Sythe is a great site. Before I start trading, I thought I'd post around a little, read the stickies etc.

 

Everywhere where there is trading have scammers

My opinion is just only use extremely trustable sources on here for a loss of profit. I go through Arcus to sell gold for .52/mil and he's incredibly trusted but I'm losing ~.18 per million. Oh well!

 

Sythe is a great site indeed. Do not let the minority of the scammers spoil this image.

The staff here are always doing their job properly which makes the forums very well organised.

Remember this, being legit here will earn you more money than scamming in the long run. Weigh these factors out before thinking about scamming here.

 

In fact only 90,000 Sythe members are banned, making about 25-30% of Sythe scammers. Another 90,000 Members have never posted, and there are doubtless many members with only 1 or 2 posts as well. Most Sythers are still legitimate, showing the staff has bee doing excellently.

With a bit of common sense you can't go wrong here. Unfortunately, that is a virtue only few posses.

 

I agree, the prices for gold for example easily beat professional websites.
