thinking about getting a tattoo

i personally got tattoos but i get tatoos thave a story behind it , like i meaning to why i got it

 

Its either you want it or you dont. Iv never been a big supporter of tattoos but if your really debating if you should get it or not I would say dont get it... If you dont think 100% u should get it just dont.. I feel like if your not totally for the tattoo you will end up regretting it.

 

Look man, don't listen to the negative comments on here. And no, I'm not just saying that because I'm a tattoo advocate (if something like that exists). My advice to you though, would be to think long and hard. Ask yourself these questions:
-What do I want?
-Why do I want it?
-Where would I put it?
-How will it affect my career?
-How will it look in ten years? 20? 50?

I think the most important thing is to get something that means a lot to you. For example, my first tattoo:

This is a tribute to my late grandmother.
It says "Mema" which is what I called my grandmother. The cross is based off a necklace she gave me when I was a newborn and which I still have to this day. She passed away too young. She was an amazing person that guided me and taught me a lot about love, respect, friendship, and countless other important values.

My mom and dad DESPISE tattoos, but when they saw this one, they couldn't really say anything negative about it.

Anyways, just my two cents.

I have over 40 tattoos 15-20 of them being pathetic.

 

tattoos are cool. i have one on my back that takes up half of it and one on my forearm, and gettin another one in 2 days on my other arm. i think of it as a stress reliever

 

I'd like to have one. Actually, I am sure I will make a tattoo one day, but I want it to be meaningful that's why this is not a right time yet. Also I didn't find what it should be: picture, sign or sth else.

 

You have to consider the fact that it will be on your body, for the rest of your life. The indecisiveness you show right now, I'd much advise against it. You gotta think about the long term implications (for example as PDX93CRS said, a career).

If nothing else, I'd say the length is also quite long to have. For it to be readable, the entire phrase would just end up being too big. Just personally don't think it would look good/is a good idea

 

Fuck what anyone else says, I have a couple of tattoo's. One I think is shit and I rushed into it when I was 16 because I thought it would be cool, and I love the other. I think it looks nice and i've always been complimented about it and asked who did it and recommended the artist.

Don't listen to others, just find what you want and then a month/3 months/6 months later, re-consider and if you still want the same tattoo then get it. That's the best advice I could give. Otherwise just go for it.

 

I'm planning on getting a full sleeve eventually. Go for it.
