The hypocrisy of Staff and rule bending

Here is the simplicity of it all.

If you are doing business with someone who has a ToS quoting that they would not be responsible for the loss of items, it would be the buyer's responsibility to remove any wealth from the account as well as screenshot all of the items that may be at risk of being dropped like Fire Cape, Torso, etc.

This way, you do 2 things.

1) Protect your wealth
2) Have proof of the items on the account if anything is dropped

With those 2 things, if they took or dropped anything they would be banned. The ToS may not seem fair to a buyer of the service, but people have those ToS's in place in case the buyer of the service removes 100M from the account and blames the seller.

In a situation like this it has to be treated like a court-case.

You are extremely dense. No one ever said he was trustworthy.

 

The whole issue here is the ToS in question would allow the person to scam if wealth is left on the account. The whole problem is that this is a ToS, so when the scam happens, it's a get out of jail free card because of the ToS.

Due to the ToS in question, sufficient proof of the items being on the account before, during, and not after the service has to be taken into consideration.

Due to the ToS this type of scam is almost 100% to get away with it because it's almost impossible to prove you have items on the account at the time of the transfer of details.

The only way to avoid this scam when someone has a ToS like that is not to do business with them.

 

The reason why FancyHire has similar TOS is just to protect ourselves, there is always that 1 out of 100 customers that may attempt this type of scam on us. It's just for protection and makes 100% sense. Staff will not discourage service providers, It's also the duty of the buyer to ensure they protect themselves.

My last client left 12M on the account, I could have taken it and gotten away with but I didn't.

It's like court.

You have this ToS and you removed the items because you're a scammer there still needs to be proof you took it. Even if there is 7 scam reports, there will not be actual proof of taking the items.

This happens IRL to, if someone goes into a store and steals 9 times and conceals product off camera, and that's your best information then he won't get charged with theft because you can't see him take them.

He may walk in without them, you may see him select them off the shelf but as soon as it's concealed off the camera the whole case is blown.

 

I love how proven scammers are crying about "equality". These DNT's, TWC's, and lenient pardons have given you guys this illusion that your past is just wiped clean. The majority of you whiners are lucky to even be allowed to trade on Sythe at all. Quit bringing me up as if I am comparable to your dumb ass that had to repay a $50 scam to be let back onto the forum.
