The good old days thread.

Up til 2009/2010 there was an official Sythe IRC with a forum dedicated to it and all.

 

There was an IRC lounge and loads of oldies would hang out in the IRC even though they didn't really post on Sythe anymore. Then e-drama came and bans went a flying and shit hit the fan. New IRC is cool too, though.

 

Thought so, it was before I became active in 2010. I remember trying to search information about it cause I saw someone with the Frequent IRC User rank. It looked pretty cool, but I guess having an unofficial one isn't too different.

Haven't really been around for long, but it's sad that this happens to every site as it becomes more trade-focused, etc.

 

It was thanks to Covey and his client that I found out about Sythe in the first place, in the old irc.sythe.org irc channel. Good times.

I still remember some of my antics, as I bet clashfan does, which I figure is largely the reason why there are a number of new rules in place since my absence, but ultimately the same issues are still occurring.

I still remember what runecms stands for over 7 years since it closed down, how many other people still remember?

Hey Annex, a fair bit has changed in my life since my days on sythe haha.
No longer do any programming, sort of went in the opposite direction :s (got a trade)
I rarely drop in here from time to time to lurk a little.

Got a dual major in physics and math, I'm sticking around my shithole town till my girlfriend gets her degree then we will probably move to a bigger better city. For now I work in manual labour, recycling metal.

I still keep up to date on the latest exploits and such. But I have more time now that i just work and don't do school.

None forgotten lol I remember all them guise. terran killer, lysol, todd, etc........ the list of the lost goes on. I never really was on runecms and all that but I was on the free.forums.au whatever domain it was.

I remember a series of DDoS attacks but I never really figured out the reason, I just remember not being able to get on for the longest time before the site timing out.
