Guys, are you forgetting that BP will be fined $20 Billion and yet Obama claims "British Petroleum". If it's so Britain then why does USA get the $20 Billion in which BP is going to pay.

Last time I checked, theres no oil spewing out off the coast of Britain.

If Obama thinks $20 billion will pay for the Environmental Disaster which has occured I think he needs some help. The $20 Billion will probably go to funding Coffee Machines in the White House. I doubt they'll take this money and use it for equipment to help stop the spill.

Some of the that money will go to fishermen, and small business owners.

I Believe that BP ignored warnings and then this has happened so all money lost is their own fault.

There were tar bubbles everywhere on a beach, and everyone acted like it was nothing. The kids were running through it to get in the water, and it was just a disgusting sight to see.

they should have had a stop valve in the pipe and if it ever busted, which it has now, they would be able to pull the stop valve and the oil would not be gushing all those millions of galls of oil into the Gulf. Then they could take a piece of metal down there with there robots and weld it in place, and finally they could release the stop valve.

Because people are idiots. I've watched the live feed a few times, as well as quite a few videos on Youtube, and it truly is vial and disgusting. I guess people don't understand the true crisis that it has come to be.

Do you not realize that you can't just "fix" it? They've been trying many different ways in order to stop the leakage, and none have been successful. Also did you not notice were in a recession and that we can't just waste money on unsuccessful attempts to stop it.

BP messed up. They've admitted that, and paid for it. $20billion, a lot of money.

What I don't like is Obama "Bin Laden"s response. First off, it's not British Petroleum, that isn't what the company is called, it changed it's name years ago to BP, and by Obama "Bin Laden" calling it British Petroleum, he is directly attacking the closest country the USA can call an ally. Other British companies invest in BP, before this £1 in every £7 paid out in pension funds could be traced back to BP's profits. This, added to the banks form the USA fucking up - Which no-one got the blame for or had to pay out - could cause Britain to go under drastically. What's the first thing they're gonna do to save money? Pull out of Afghanistan and Iraq and leave the USA to it. Nice one Osama, oh wait, I mean Obama.

He also hasn't thought out what he's doing at all. He's directly putting pressure on BP, making them pay up, saying that the CEO should be fired, etc. Well.. If BP go under.. Also.. The only reason he's not backing BP and defending them is because they're not from the USA. American companies have spilt oil everywhere, and they've not had to pay a penny. Oh..
