The inherent issue with your suggestion is that you're assuming the team isn't respected by a majority of the community. That's simply not true. There are so many people that don't use the SF that still partake in our events and initiatives. I wouldn't be going out on a limb if I were to say a majority of regular community users approve of the CDT. But a handful of spam forumers do not, and I'm not saying that's fine, but it shouldn't represent the entire community.

As per your suggestion of starting fresh, that's basically what @Syed tried to do in his tenure as leader, which received an immense about of backlash. Unfortunately that was the single day that I had no connection to the internet due to being in Turkey during a layover with no internet, so I had no say in what happened then. I basically connected to the internet as soon as he was removed so it was unfortunate.

We will, however, be removing all inactive members (a majority being staff) and keeping those who are active. After that, we will be going through a recruitment process that will definitely include many more people. So the dynamic of the team will definitely be changing over the course of the next week.

I personally wouldn't class a bunch of trolls in the SF as apart of "the community", but unfortunately we have to regard them as that. A lot of people were very disappointed regarding recent events, yet had their say when it was happening, but haven't checked back to figure out what is happening or what is changing or to leave some genuine feedback. So all we're left with are trolls, with a negative view and constant trolling - which unfortunately Sythe takes seriously.

It's a shame how everything is becoming dependent on the views of trolls in the SF. If the community genuinely had interested there would be a lot more responses, other then the same trolls who just put down the ideology of CDT to further their own aims, or just because they're following the bandwagon or it just being a nice meme.

Aside the recent events, I feel the community do somewhat approve of the CDT, but would like to see beneficial changes, like transparency to ensure past events do not re-occur. As well as that I get the feeling teamwork between the dev teams is also what is wanted.

 

You can't just dismiss people who post in the spam forum. Most of our longest and most loyal community members love the spam forum and it is what our community is and you have to accept and embrace that if you are going to try to help the community.

 

That's what we're attempting to do with this thread.

 

If that is your goal you are doing very badly by attacking and demeaning the people you are asking to give up some of their own time to help you out.

I'm allowed my opinion. That's my view on the situation. That's the brutal truth. Asking "people" to give up their time to help us out, no they're trolls. Personally I feel when there is trolls, then their negative input is purely for the reason of diminishing what CDT is. I don't view them as the community because of their trolling behaviour, but if it happens that they can collate their argument respectively, and give constructive criticism towards the CDT then yes they are wanting to be apart of the community, rather then being the negative trolls they so desire to be. There's no real intention to want to help. Or to help the community when they behave like this, that's how I see it, and how it makes me feel. If you were to sit there and listen to, you're the reason why the CDT is shit, or accusations about this and that, that hold no weight, it's unnecessary drama.

Again this is the SF so anything goes, like I said for some reason troll responses are taken seriously. There is a difference between genuine community upset and wanting/needing change, compared to trolls who just attack for no real reason other then it being a funny meme.

Don't get me wrong btw, this is like a handful of people. The rest of the community is fine, having their opinions is more then accepted in my book. Having flaming and trolls and having that taken seriously, is a joke.

 

I'm going to ask that you are removed from the CDT. You continously attack and belittle the people that you are supposed to be helping and dismiss any and all criticism. I've been both nice and rude to you and it hasn't changed at all how you've acted.

@Excelont, @Hamouze I would strongly advice reconsidering Sonia's membership in the CDT.

 

If you consider yourself as the troll then that's on your shoulders to take it personally. I personally respect that you've changed your tune compared to the constant being negative and rude previously.

It's not about being sensitive, it's about viewing you as a person. If the constant things that come out of your responses is negativity and trolling I for some reason can't take it seriously. But still I do appreciate your knowledge, views and stances on thing when you can actively respond in a good manner. To me if you continue with the hey I'm a bitch routine at all times, I personally see you as a joke for what you're meant to stand for. But I mean you do you. And i'll stick to the way I wish and choose to see you.

This is why I applied to be represent the TCT in discussions with the CDT. I just don't think SuF cuts it.

 

You are being sensitive. You are allowing me to manipulate you. You also just admitted to outright dismissing anything negative. Clearly you aren't looking to improve but only stroke your ego.
