Sythe's own RS server!!!

But projects like these need a huge time investment and..the incentive to even try.

Selling gold in such a server will easily make the price fluctuate..

The only way this could be possible is if they imposed a lot of limits in it. Minimizing skills/locations with in the game. After all, how much visitors does sythe get per day? This server would get a huge capacity of users very easily..which may be a bad thing.

Then again. If we were to create a website ..new website, and have a bunch of ads on it, we (By that I mean YOU because I have no authority what so ever) can still get enough profit to pay for it.

hell,i like this idea,i'd donate. but it would have to be like RS,up to the GE,but with the duel arena,and pking,and...trading.and maybe you would have to have X posts to get on the server,but spamming = ban or reset/minus in post count.

 

I own a small server but I use it for Armed Assualt....

 

If this server became successful im sure that people would pay a membership fee aslong as it is RS before the dumb updates I would pay to play a runescape server aslong as it was as smooth as the original RS.

I'm pretty decent in java programming and i'm trying to learn how to make models.. (really hard) umm all servers crash.. i'd have to put a auto restart on it for ever hour you would get knocked off.. and maybe dedicated server...

 

Haha, you're basically saying nobody would pay for RS cash. To be successful, just make it popular.

Only problem: If you want to sustain any normal or constant gameplay on this server you're going to have to get more and better servers. This costs money. A shitload of money.. which sythe does not have. No matter how much you donate, I'm pretty sure it wont be enough to pay for multiple very nice servers scattered across the globe. ESPECIALLY if this catches on and thousands of people decide to play at once.

 

well if we find out how much it would bea month for a dedicated server or something i might be able to pay for it as well as do some general programming and stuff to keep it going well... Would take a fair bit of development though but i am about 1/4 through making a PS ATM so yeah...if we look at costing though i could pay for a decent portion of it.

and as for faster xp rates i would consider running on 4x xp at the very most
