Support; this could get the ball rolling. The unofficial Sythe IRC was very fun, and if this could replicate a similar atmosphere, it would add another great element to this website.

I think having the requirement as a certain amount of hours is the way to go. Other ideas such as certain amount of visits, number of messages sent, etc. can be easily abused. While some people may just enter SytheChat and idle, conversations can originate due to the sheer amount of people present.

How about 10 hours per week? Or is that too many hours?

I didn't do that great of a job, but if the idea is liked, I know someone else could do a better job of it on photoshop.

 

If you want to do it by an hourly timestamp, 10 hours would be decent. Possibly more since most people in the chat will just be idling. Also, there is constant kicking that goes on as a bug. So that sorta ruins the chance for idlers.

 

Sythechat has been low-priority lately, going to deny this for now, but rest assured we'll bring it up when Sythechat is back in development.
