Sythe scammers ridiculous..

I'll probably never get a vouch on sythe but I like to take part in the community and chat. I tried to get vouchers by making Runescape powerleveling services and defender services but no-one was interested and I tried buying a runescape account but they all tried to scam. What I'm trying to say it 80% of sythe is scammers everysingle thread I see has a banned member on it is this really how sythe works... Scam then leave? why the fuck do people have to scam? it's fucken pixels and it pisses me off when they act like "one of us" and interact with the community and then scam someone and get banned like wtf? Is their a solution to fix this, I hope so it's so fucken annoying... The only people I deem trustworthy in sythe are Mods, MM and 5+ year old members or people plenty of vouchers which makes up probably 20% of sythe so the 80% of others are just scammers. CAN SOMETHING FIX THIS PROBLEM!

 

We do everything we can to keep scamming to a minimum. All I can recommend is using one of our official middlemen.

 

I try to use a MM and they say Oh why it's easier if we don't or they say no MM you go first and once i bought an runescape account and got scammed gave me wrong account details recovered within days lost 150m RSGP. I tried to make leveling and defender services but no-one will accept me unless I go first... so really Sythe is full of scammers and I hate when they talk among the community and nek minnut they scam someone it makes no fucken sense???

 

I know I'm new on Sythe, but I was very active among the days of markee dragon so here's my 2 cents.

Always use an MM. If they don't trust an OMM or even an MM in general, they're a scammer. There are some precautious people in general who just find it a little sketchy that they're going to give their money/accounts to a 3rd person, but just explain to them what an MM or OMM is and they might come around.

If they don't agree to that, just say have a good day and block them or delete them from your contacts so you know that person is a TWC in your own eyes.

On my MSN I actually made a group that I titled TWC and put everyone I can't trust in there.

If they refuse, don't trade them, regardless of how good the offer is because at the end of the day, 9/10 times you'll lose whatever you bought.

 

Common sense is the only solution to this problem. When most newcomers get scammed it is because they are ignorant of correct trade practices. Read all the market stickies for your market and all the rules, then they're a lot of good guides in the guide section that teach you how to get proper screenshots/video, as well as the best practice for trading.

 

Do it like i did.

Traded with trusted people but really trusted people, and one day when you have lots of vouches someone will trade with you and you get more and more vouches.

You really can't blame Sythe, the staff does their best to catch scammers, vaders etc.
Just trade safely,and you won't get scammed.
Also I think more people then %20 of Sythe's members are legit.

 

I must agree I have seen alot since joining and its been a very short amount of time too.

 

Your English is what makes no sense. DO not trade with them if they won't accept a MM *facepalm* dumbass.

 

Use common sense and you'll be fine, If something seems to good to be true, It probably is.

 

If you are trying to make sure you don't get scammed, then use an MM like Nitryx. And don't buy accounts, if you are looking for the #1 most scammed item on sythe it would be Runescape Accounts. They get recovered at an alarming rate unless you buy from anyone trusted.

Just gonna throw this out there.

I do trades everyday, sometimes with people under 100 posts and recent join dates. I never get scammed, and my customers are usually pretty happy with our deals.

There is a procedure to trading, beyond Sythe, beyond any market forum for that matter. A high percentage of scams come from lack of precautions taken from the victim. You can't blame the forum for you getting scammed, the internet is public. There are just as many scammers on eBay, for that matter, as on Sythe.

You are given a great amount of resources here on Sythe to prevent scams. Use some tutorials, figure out how you can maximize your protection by making cash drawbacks impossible, learn how to secure RS accounts, use a middle-man. Seriously man, just use that noodle and I promise you that this site will be an awesome tool for you.

 

Honestly, the scammer to legitimate user ratio is HIGHLY exaggerated. We have A LOT of legitimate users, probably even more. In any blackmarket you do business in, there will be scammers. The moderation team do all they can to prevent scams and enforce the rules. Also, take into consideration that not everyone who is banned scammed, a lot of banned users are ban evaders. Remember, it's the users responsibility to learn proper trading etiquette and the rules.

 

Where there is money, there is thieves. Just pick the people you trade with carefully, I have been trading here for a while and after you did a few trades, you get a feeling for it.

 

I've never personally been scammed from Sythe, but from what I hear from people who have reffed me to this website, it has a lot of shady people behind it, so I suppose I better watch my back. In all honesty, a forum for selling/buying virtual goods will always have scammers and trolls no matter what.

 

You will get scammed if you dont pay close attention. People come here just to take advantage of others. Although its just pixels, people make thousands from those pixels. Thats why some are so convinced to scam. Only trade with trusted members.

Most newcomers are scammers. make sure to background check who youre trading with. Look at join date and posts per day, if it looks fishy just leave it.Just use an OMM whenever you trade and a recovery test. Paying that extra $10-$20 can save you a lot of troubl.e

 

Its simple, ALWAYS use a middle man, dont offer to go first, dont have them go first, just get a free middle man. If they dont want to use a middle man, then dont trade.
