I went ahead and signed us up on investopedia. I know this website pretty well using it in a few programs on campus, so I'll be able to answer most (hopefully) questions on this platform. Down to try new shit in the future though. I'll send you a PM with instructions on how to join

I put the game time for 2 months (I think I explained this in my PM I'm not sure) but we can make it longer if we're all enjoying it. I find people burn out though so 2 months might be ok

So I went ahead and made an investopedia game. I've decided to award the winner $40 and hopefully some important people can make a minirank or something. That'd be cool. I'll be sending this message to everybody who posted they were interested. If we don't get more than ~10 people active in the competition I'm not going to award a winner (I think that's pretty fair, I don't want just 3 people competing). Below are the instructions on joining the game. It's really easy I promise

1. Go to www.investopedia.com and register an account. Very reputable website, don't worry about spam and selling your email and shit

2. Hover over Simulator on the top of the home page and hit stock simulator

3. It may prompt you to join a game here, or it may send you to your account homepage. Regardless, find a way to hit "games"

4. Search Sythe

5. Password is "sytheorg"

6. Trade, enjoy

Sidenote: If anybody has any connections to a firm or sponsor to sponsor this for us (i.e. pay the $40 or whatever they want) - you should definitely hit them up. This is something you can put on your resume if sponsored by a firm, regardless of how big or small. Stack that achievements part of your resume

Hey guys,

The CDT hit me up about taking this competition over and advertising it a bit more. I gave them all the reins to do what they want to do to make it fun. I (think) we are keeping the same current game, the one the majority of us have already joined. I moved the start date on that to the 20th (monday). If you bought securities and what not already I'm not sure what the game will do to your positions. If they force you to keep them 'til Monday and it ruins your portfolio - just make a new account or I can try to manually reset your portfolio.

tl;dr: CDT is taking it over. Start date is Monday the 20th, end date is (currently) August 22nd. Winner gets $40, prize box, and mini rank
