I disagree. If these updates stick then it will mostly likely herald the rebirth of runescape cheating. I think this is quite exciting actually. No longer can you purchase cheap gold, you must automine it yourself! Which means the cheats market becomes profitable once more and all the old cheat writers come back into the game to make some money.
That means a rebirth of scar, scar scripting, java bots and cheating in general. The void left by the now dead blackmarket will be filled by a revived and innovative cheats market. Small time coders will write scripts and bots, and sell them, and the cycle will go on.
we'll see how it goes, then
btw, the idea is out there to expand sythe.org to encompass more than just Runescape cheating. what about other mmorpg's, where RWT is still very much extant?
Where did you get your numbers by the way?
Do you know for sure that there are 300k member accounts, 700k f2p, and that 85% of people are sure to quit?
It is one thing to give us an idea, telling what you think will happen, but don't use such exact numbers unless you have a place to credit your source.
I doubt Jagex released that information.

Sythe will obviously need to find a new way to go with things. There are a few options. Firstly, account trading becomes much more viable with the new updates, as there will not be a way to transfer GP off an account. Secondly, there are TONS of MMORPG's out there. If the community settled on a game to focus the site around (that has a fairly similar system to the one in RS), then we could once again have a flourishing market. Another option would be to shift away from a one game focus, and move towards a giant bazaar for all online games. I agree, there is the Other Games section, but I'm talking about a total make-over, where certain staff are assigned to certain games. In the long run, this could lead to a site that is MUCH more popular.
