Sythe.org Vs. My Life

I think you just need to find a good balance of your work, personal and school life. If you still find that your time on Sythe is ruling your life and getting in the way of recieving your education, I would really sit and think about your priorities, and see if you would possibly consider taking a break from Sythe to focus on your life.

Who knows, you could be borderline addicted to the internet and making money. It sounds a bit ridiculous but it is quite common, and if you are completely neglecting your schoolwork, putting Sythe before your girlfriend, and blowing off your friends just to be on the computer selling gold all day, you may have a big problem. Get it sorted out early before its too late and get your life back Sythe will always be where it is and isn't going anywhere any time soon. I wish you the best of luck man!

Honestly, you should just consider sythe as a part-time job. I work around 8 hours a day on my job and know im working harder than you but your making more money ha. Your disappointed by your situation because you think your addicted to sythe or want a social life when really your just a part-time employee putting in a lot of hours. You could work a little harder on Monday-Thursday and maybe friday morning but start taking Friday nights off and go have some fun with friends or show your girlfriend she means more to you than sythe. Just like any jobs in the world. You need a day off

 

I don't think sythe will be a long term solution, also you are spending your or your parents money on school.

Focus on school and you will have more $$ in the future, if you stay with sythe and failed school. You gotta get more money to pay for what you are getting right now..


Remember RS Black market won't last you more than 5 - 10 years, if you can make money here without wasting too much time irl then go for it. If not, focus on whats important and more effective in the future.

 

Tbh I'm 17 and I'm in college too, and I admit I spend quite abit of time on sythe, and tending to my bots, but honestly I realized I was just running from my problems. I was in a way trying to get away from real life.

But like 2 and a half weeks ago, gambled my santa, which was all my wealth, because I was drunk and bored one night, and I lost. But I actually won because I quit rs and sythe for like 2 weeks, and I found I was alot less stressed because I was facing my problems.

 

I wonder what you buy with the profit?

 

More RSGP to enlarge next weeks profit? I get where he's comming from though and I've been thinking about starting a RSGP shop myself. I always played legit and made about 14B doing so over the course of 5 years. Now I'm selling it all and it got me wondering;

If I can sell this in seperate portions, get alot of vouches, buy back alot of gold resell with profit margin etc. I could make more money.

The reason I decided not to do this is because of all the stress that comes with it + the fact that black markets like Sythe are way too crowded with scammers.

If I were to make over 800 euro's profit each week I probably wouldn't quit. But spend less time on Sythe and get to know new people, go out etc. Going to College certainly helps! Say you still earn 400 euro's a week that's still enough to live large on a daily basis. So if I were you, spend 50% less time on Sythe, buy a decent laptop (macbook air) and PC and all the other gimmicks (iPhone, surround speakers, 50" plasma) then be done with it and save all the rest you make thereafter.

I was in a very similair / almost identical situation a year ago when I was 17. I was the biggest Habbo Hotel dealer and was earning ridiculous money, like stupid ammounts. I started selling here at first when I was around 15-16, then my business got so big I opened my own (Habbo version of Sythe) blackmarket BobbaMarket (not going to post a direct link).

Since then my site got pretty big, and along with all the money i was making from mass merchanting, I was also getting around £120 a week from adsense and £200 or so from site donations.

This was taking loadsssss of my social life up and found my self at home most nights when i was previously super outgoing. My A levels (UK college) were failing bad etc.

I can't really remember how i got out of this mess but I do know that I stopped selling and started focusing on my social life alot more.. i got a job started going out with people more and now im out practically every day whilst still maintaining my site..

Money has that effect on people like you and me, I remember that making money was my only motivation in life at one point.

 

Do you have any updates on what you're doing now or any steps you've taken to make sure that Sythe doesn't take over your life as much as it has now?

Being smart with your time that you spend online everyday is valuable, try to balance it out...

Wake up at 8am - eat breakfast and workout.
10am - class and homework
noon - lunch
2pm - class and homework again
6 pm - dinner with some friends?
8:30 pm - Start your transactions
Midnight - In bed ready to do it again tomorrow.
