Sythe.org DJ's denied. Why?

I think the DJ's are a great idea, personally.
I think everyone here likes and enjoys music, if they're not obsessed with it.
And as Bob Marley said, "One good thing about music, When it hits you feel no pain."
I don't see how this could hurt the community in any way (With a few supporting factors):

1.Make sure there's no copyright laws being broken...

^They are a RuneScape site, and have forums, but they have DJ's too. So I would ask them for permission or something, unless it's not breaking any sort of law.

2.Have a Staff Member or at least a Moderator approve the DJ's list of music (music library), making sure all the music is Edited, or that the lyrics are "clean" meaning they won't offend ANYONE.

3.Take ALL things into consideration while approving Music Library: Religion, Race, Age (Little kids don't know what half the words mean, but let's not get them saying it, so when their mom's like, "WTF?! Wher did you hear that word?!" The child won't reply saying, "Sythe.org, a RuneScape community." Getting them grounded from: (A) Computer (B)Sythe.org (C) RuneScape (D)All or some of the above.

These are just a few supporting ideas. But school's starting, so I g2g for now.

Sounds like a good idea, but I'm sure there are a few things that must be tweaked before it is put to use

 

I think, that each DJ should be assigned a specific genre, so everyone gets what they want.

 

Very nice idea, I like it. But, what I don't like is, that you want to "clean" up the music. Music was never meant to be cleaned up. And so, what if a child hears a naughty word on sythe.org radio, the internet is big and full of swear words.

 

Also, when you join this site you have to agree your 13+, if that is not old enough to hear the "big words", then who knows what :huh: ?

Yeah, I made my Sythe.org account about 3½ years ago? I forgot about the 13+ thing, so forget that whole thing...

I agree that music shouldn't be "cleaned", I just stated that so nobody gets offended, and you make a great point about the internet being big and full of everything...

I listen to bands such as KottonMouth Kings (Who sings about a variety of things; from Marijuana to Marijuana) And Insane Clown Posse (Who has a song called "Fuck the world" and if you've heard Limp Bizkit's "Chocolate Starfish and the Hotdog Flavored Water" It says "Fuck" like 10 times more than Limp Bizkits song...)

The whole point was to have some supporting factors and possible ideas, to better the chance of getting this on the forums.

 

Too much bullshit would come with it, no one would bother listening, peoples poor judgment in music. Need I go on?

 

It does sound like a pretty decent idea, but i do also think it would be pretty complicated to set up. Don't know if any of the admins would take the time?

 

Hahahhaha some kids get some music and mix it randomly together and they think they can put DJ in front of their names like they are pros

It would ruin the atmosphere. Sythe would lose a lot of members too. A new member could be browsing the forum, hear "Slipknot", dislike them strongly and leave. *start>itunes>your own selection.

It wouldn't work. It was denied for a reason, even if it was unstated; meaning do not create another topic about it...
