I believe that means a java-error closed the program. Try and check for a dump-file.

 

Ah, didn't know the factions were causing it. Rather, the beta version for factions would make the game crash.

Bukkit is in beta. For factions we need to run Bukkit and not the official server.

warp should be allowed to be used by regular users, it would work exactly the same as spawn, but with more than a single spawn point (unless sythe downloaded Essentials Spawn Plus, which gives you more advanced spawn functions). But it SHOULDN'T allow reg users to CREATE warp points. That would be what would kill survival.

The kind of servers I find really really fun are those where each operator go off far away from spawn and create their own little city with plots of empty land for regular users to come by and build whatever they want there. In those kinds of servers, warps or advanced spawn points are very useful. but since the new SytheCraft hasn't advanced that far, it might very well ruin the survival aspect OR the warps would plain never be used.

So now I've mentioned multiple spawn points twice, and what I mean by that is an OP would use the command /setspawn 1 and a regular user could then do /spawn 1 or 2 or 3 or 4 or however many spawns are created. The point of multiple spawn points is to have multiple "official" server cities with quick access to whichever you wanted to visit. This could easily be done with warps though, but "spawn" sort of gives it a "safe" connotation, like somewhere people can go to chill or trade or whatever

 

I'd just like to have /home and /f home so I can have a farm that's damn far away from my base. Or I'll make a train. MOH! We're making a train!

 

/home would be fine since that's just for traveling to spawn... And I do live "damned far away". Trains are kind of annoying... IMO. If you have the time for it, I guess you could do it. But why build a farm far away from your base? Farms only grow if the chunk is active (if I remember correctly?).

However, Moh's warp idea isn't bad (now that he has explained it). If we truly got to the point of interest where it was populated, and stable, it wouldn't be bad. As of right now, it's not exactly necessary. It would also allow for building mini-games at a location that is "away from spawn". - Yes I'm really adamant on mini-games (like spleef)... So much fun. >_<

Oh and Moh, I could donate ~$10 a month if we want to get a new/different server up & running.

 

Somebody came and stole all my sugar cane and screwed up my farm.

 

Sorry... I was sitting all the way out at my base. :|

 

Seriously man.. Had like 100 sugar cane there... plus you screwed up the entire farm.. removing tons of grass blocks and etc.
