Sythe Chat!

No other suggestions so far, if you can fix/add anything in OP, let me know.

 

The chat looks like a 2003 windows classic work in progress chat for solitaire players.

Your chat name should have the same capitalization as your Sythe username.
Colors have already been addressed in OP. (Could even be a donor perk)
Interfaces need upgrading to make it look more modern. (Could work on this after other requests are done)
SytheChat needs more advertising. (Adding headlines to certain forums where it could be useful may help)

 

I agree with this, just didn't see it as necessary as other things.

I can't fix the username problem. Richard needs to make simplename.php keep capitalization. checktoken.php does it right but requires a token.

 

Two suggestions to improve SC usage:
-make the button on the homepage glow or look tempting and inviting?
-add a line on our post headers that says "Hours (or "Lines"?) chatted: ###" or something under "Referrals"

I personally don't think the second one would be that pleasant an addition, but maybe it will give someone a better idea.

 

I'm currently waiting on Richard to merge my changes. I'm going to bug him about it when I see him. He must be busy since I have not seen him in chat for awhile.

The trade would be making your own separate chat room, and inviting the other parties. I don't think the chat will be meant for advertising your business.

 

I think he meant make two lobbies, one for market activity and one for general chat; there's really no need to create chat rooms if you can just pm people from the appropriate lobby. This way we won't get idiots spamming "ANYONE WANT TO BUY IKOV GP?????" in the chat where we're talking about non-market things. I'd support the idea.

 

The chat isn't meant for advertising, as I just said though. So the ikov guy wouldn't be there in the first place. It would have a general chat that you automatically connect to, other public lobbies that people want to create, and then people would idle in the chat until a buyer/seller posts on their thread. They would then both be on the chat and invite the other to a private chat/chatroom, and go on with their trade.
