Admins will probably use PM rather than your listed email address, no?

 

I highly doubted it's legitimacy due mainly to the fact that I haven't made any trades recently for which there would be a transaction log, and that hence there would be no reason to file a scam report.

Nonetheless, I am flattered that someone would make the effort to attempt to gain unauthorized access to my account.

 

Ofc its fake, he posted this for that reason.

Well whenever I am told to download something, especially a log of something I did, you start to wonder why such a reputable underground site would do such a thing.

I would never even bring my mouse near such a link. Lol.

 

It's obviously fishy when it says to download a unknown mediafire/megaupload file.

 

I had a guide on how to tell whether an email was fake or not. Guess it got deleted with the latest mass-prune of old threads :\

No big deal, all you have to do is view the email headers.

Thanks for the warning, Determinate. I got it and was expecting a phishing attempt, so I just checked here on Sythe for a RaS on me rather than click the link.

Also, do we get notified at all when a RaS is filled on us?

 

Maybe it's time to send out a mass-email to all Sythe patrons, telling them to be on their guard?

I think something like this would only target Sythe accounts with higher rep/postcount/vouch count, as phishing any other account would be pretty useless.

Since people in those positions seem to have more or less proven their ability to guard against being scammed, I think this phish is doomed to fail.

I'd be surprised if anyone falls for it.

That guy name is adam, he is the guy who is giving away free auths he gave me a suspicious download link with an .exe at the end obviously a keylogger, i reported him waiting for him to be banned.

 

I got something very similar to this a few days ago; I just deleted it tho, considering the fact I haven't done a trade for over a month..

 

I have seen this on videos on youtube, a common site to do this is hoaxmail

 

It's probally someone trying to hack your account don't beileave what you see mate.
