RWT ban rates?

I'm simply curious what the ban rates are like for a player that has never participated in RWTing, is extremely high leveled, etc. I was thinking of buying bonds for RSGP for Invention, but the prices on here drastically beat price per mil for bonds. So my question is how likely will a high leveled player with no negative account activity be banned for buying 500m, 1b or 2b gp. Also, if I do get banned, since this is the first time ever, would it be a permanent or temporary?

Also, I'm reading the stickies on how to prevent scams, however, what recommendations do experienced RWTers have on staying off the radar per say, such as trading in a crowded area full of trades (like w2 ge)?

 

The chances of being banned for the buyer is significantly lower than it would be for the seller. However, to be safe buy it in increments or buy it all at once and use a mule, then xfer it as you please. However, I'm pretty certain nothing would even arise of it.

 

They've always been extremely low for people in your case. I wouldn't worry about being banned for RWT. If you do get banned, it's permanent, but the chances of it are very low.

 

Even if you trade in sketchy areas like the backdoor alley in draynor village the chances of getting banned are still close to 0.00001%. Unless you're a Chinese company selling gold you should expect to never see a rwt ban.

 

Does that still apply for the amount being traded? Does couple hundred mil vs a couple bil make a difference? Would it be better to trade in increments, or can one lump sum be traded in one go?

 

How worried are you?

I would say the chances are very low... Me and friends trade cash all the time... Sometimes I get cash from buying gold, sometimes a friend just hands me a hundred mil...

The only way jagex can tell the difference is a known gold seller vs a random person... How to avoid known sellers? No idea... I've had a few trades I was iffy about, taking 300m+ from a level 3... But I never got banned, so probably safe enough.


But the end game is - Are you worried enough to not do it? If so - Just don't.

I always like to buy my GP in lowish amounts, and always collect it on an accounts with members. Personally I feel a f2p accounts is more at risk at being punished for RWT, but I could be wrong, thats just speculation

 

Well it's not necessarily buying from a seller that worries me, as I'm confident the larger sellers are focused on their reputation rather than scamming. Buy the sounds of it, being banned is rather low risk if it's a first timer, so my only question is does the amount being traded matter? Is 1 or 2 bil more of a red flag than 500m per say? Should I buy in increments or buy as one bulk?

 

I'd buy in big increments, even though you should be fine with bulk as well. You WON'T be banned as a buyer, especially a 1st time buyer.

You should try and trade people who aren't MAJOR gold sellers like Divica/Bogla. (No offense to them, but they could potentially be flagged for rwt, even though they take major precautions)

Just buy from a small-time seller, use a middleman and perhaps invest in BTC in order to avoid problems like people asking for ID or whatever.

Trust me, you'll be fine. Billions of gp are bought/sold every day and the buyers shouldn't be worried in the slightest.

We rarely get RWT bans - we use different delivery methods than other major gold sellers to reduce ban rates. We also offer the option of delivering orders with a maxed main to show our confidence in the safety of the trade.

On a more general note, buyers very rarely get banned, and I haven't heard of any permanent ban resulting from doing so.
