The world wont end in 2012.

The calendar thing is probably just them stopping one day on Dec 21st, and then not getting back to continuing it before they went extinct.
Also, if that solar flare on the sun happens, then that would just mess up earth-- not knock it out.

Plus, the human race is pitiful at best. We may even kill ourselves before that day.

Actually the Mayans predicted that an asteroid would hit earth on 2012. The scary part is that they predicted solar eclipses and other stuff to happen in the future and it was all true, so who knows.

yes the mayans did predict alot of stuff that came true but a few of the more extreme things they predictded didnt (the world ending) either way itds going to be very interesting to see what happend on the 21st of december 2012, if noting hapenns i will hapily come bak here and admit i was wrong.

The world won't end at that date, it'l end when nukes destory it, or if something big happens (such as a commet, huge volcano).
