Suggestion: Simba Rank

And I change my stance on this, I thougt that it was a suggestion for a new staff position in a section that didn't need it.

Though it is true that there could be ranks for anything, a rank for scar/simba would be noteable thanks to the prestige of the two's functions.

I don't know much about SCAR or Simba, I mainly do JS, HTML, CSS,etc.
But, if it is true that both scar and simba are actually the PASCAL language, I feel as if these two should be merged into one rank "PASCAL Programmer".

Also, this rank would not give the user any power, correct? It isn't like a "mod". It is just a title saying "Hey, I know how to program"

Also, why be as specific as SCAR or Simba if we don't even have Javascript Programmer Rank or HTML programmer rank or Ruby Programmer rank, etc.
I think maybe some mods should sit down and decide what languages are "Rank Worthy" OR we can just make it broader and have "Web Programer" which includes anything like JS, CSS, PHP, HTML. And then have "PASCAL Programmer" and then "Java Programmer" etc.

IDK.. There are so many languages, where do we stop and say, no more ranks.

 

No, it's basically a fun rank. Just like the PHP programmer, Java Programmer, VB Programmer or Scar Programmer. No privileges are given to a user with the rank, users just see that the member is experienced with Simba and can help a member out regarding getting the bot running, scripting, etc.

I'm all for this, the main reason I don't post on sythe is because im known on Villavu... I love the community there. If your a no body on sythe your treated poorly. I've been scammed twice here.. so you know that says everything.

 

I wouldn't say that you being scammed is proof of you being treated poorly. Unfortunately we do have a fair few scammers on the website, the staff do what they can do get rid of them but there will always be scammers around. Point being, you just need to watch who you trust. And just because there are some scammers around, doesn't mean the regular community is treating you poorly

To be quite honest, the way I have seen this community is that if your not popular... your a waste of space... Theres no inbetween in this community and for that I feel somewhat 'threatened' to be on here due to the vulgar and rude atmosphere.

Scammers will be on every forum, but I feel that here they thrive. Mostly because of the reputation Sythe has got.
I may not have many posts, but I'm a regular browser

I'd support this only if the people who claim that rank are here partially to write and/or sell private scripts to various users. Otherwise, what's the sense of having that rank to begin with as they'll be bugged about making scripts and such anyway.

It is 'simba' but not an SRL/Simba logo, but either way it works and looks nice .
