Suggestion For Name Change

I feel as though the first name change for a donor should be free, and be for any donor who has been a member for over 3 years without any name changes.
For instance, I made my account many years ago, and the name just doesn't look nice to me anymore. I want to change it and reflect me as a person now.

So, what I am saying is let every donor have ONE name change, and anything after that will take effect with the current guidelines.

 

No support, this isn't runescape where they hand out free name changes every month. Especially with the leaks that have happened, hacked accounts get stolen, FREE name change, and now they are someone completely new. You pay for what you get. After one name change on a forum you probably wouldn't ever change it again anyways, so it would be spitting on the people who actually paid and supported the website.

 

Allow me to chop down on your statement. I said for someone who has not already changed their name. And I have donated, is that not helping the site? Any donation is still helping the site, and the admins can see if an account is suspicious with it's logins jumping around and can deny that one right off the bat. I am talking about a decent old user and donor who has never had a name change and just wants to get rid of their childish name.
Edit: Not to mention that all name changes are required to have 'Previously known as ----' as their title for like 6 months... So even if they are a hacker trying to change their name, it isn't really gone.

 

I mean $5 you got richard a mcdouble meal.. and he could only get the small fry. And i get what you mean you dont like your name anymore, but thats like telling microsoft to give you a free name change on xbox cuz you've played on your xbox for years. Companies don't really care... And the high donation amount is there as a PERK. We already lost a bunch of perks this year. I don't see why we should drop down from i think its what $200 donor? to any donor can name change..

If you were very serious on here than $200 is nothing but an investment. If you're not serious on here whats the point of wanting to change your name? So you can get an OG? These are just my opinions, ill wait for others to give input.

 

I deal with RSGP, and use this site for that. I trade, sell and buy accounts with Gold, just essentially selling one account to buy another. I donate when I get the chance. I am saying give donors with good standing and a early join date the chance to have one name change. Some of us can't afford to donate 200$ for nothing right off the bat. A pretty UI is nice and all, but I am not gonna spend 200$ I don't have atm for that. I will donate more and more as time goes on. But ANY donation is helping the site irrelevant to the size.

 

I mean you've had 3503 days to donate $200 For the perk which is like what 6 cents a day? If you planned this out better i think there wouldnt be a problem :l

 

I wasn't active the whole time, and originally only used this when I wanted to buy, not as a daily business adventure. I only recently really got hardcore into business on Sythe, so yes, If I had been planning this back then I probably could. But I didn't and haven't. This is irrelevant anyhow. IRL things come first to me always.
One name change given the person has a good track history and their account is deemed safe and not compromised and they have donated should not be an issue.

 

I don't see this ever passing, sorry. Goodluck. Also to throw in you don't have 2FA or any of the security measures needed. I would sort those out before even making a suggestion like this.

As much as I would like this, I'm going to have to say no support. I understand because my name I kinda like and don't like at the same time. If I could change it for $5, I would donate in a heartbeat to something more professional even though I don't really trade that often. I'm a no one but no support from me sorry :/.

 

It's a perk and a restrictive measure so that too many users wouldn't be eligible for a major name change.

 

2007 is a long time ago. From then and now a lot has changed about me. I have not however stopped being loyal to the site etc. I am not a new member hoping to get my name changed for free. I understand where this is all coming from, and I am not suggesting it for all members. Just older members who have stuck around without issue.
