Strange keyboard issue

Don't have high hopes in regards to this, but figured I might aswell try..



My keyboard started having a problem where 2 keys don't work, except when I press shift + those keys.

I've tried:
- Using this keyboard on another computer (which worked)
- Using another keyboard on my computer (same issue)
- Fix keyboard issues, the Windows option (which obviously didn't work)
- Cleaning the keyboard/the keys
- Using different USB ports
- Updating the BIOS
- Messing with the filter keys (turning on/off etc)
- Removing keyboard driver and reinstalling it again

I believe it has to do with Discord, as I used Shift + those keys as buttons to mute/unmute my mic/sound, but after I've disabled those, it didn't fix the issue either.

Anything else I can try?

 

Sounds like a motherboard issue since both keyboards aren't working on your computer and they both work for the other.

Try doing a BIOS update for your computer and see if that fixes the issue.

I've tried different keyboards and they all have the same issue on this PC.

 

Chances are it is something related to the Motherboard, i'd say about 95% certain if all the above didn't work.
Do you have a second pc/laptop perhaps?

Yeah you can make a backup and do a fresh install, if that doesn't fix it, I would say for 99.99% certain it is ur motherboard, in which case problems may start to rack up

Try making a new user account on your PC and see if that fixes it. If it does, then you'll know there's some software issue causing it.
