    I think its complex and as it would be hard to police, it needs either/some/all of these outcomes:

    1) Allow it, but if monopolising is clear. Eg: 10 sites with same livechats etc, then restrict.

    2) If 2 seperate businesses can prove they are seperate by providing backend business operations and finance reports, then they should be able to have shared live chat (refering to my experience more so here).

    3) If users share a platform like playerauctions, then it should be considered the same rule as a website, based on how problematic it is, as i outlined above with determining whos sale from PA belongs to A,B, or C. And if the cash division after disbursements from PA to pp/btc/etc doesn't correlate with the claims made of who's order is who, then it should rightly be assumed a loophole.

    4) Possibly create a subsection in the gold market for employees who also have their own businesses. This is a compromise as they wouldn't have a thread in the main section, but they wouldn't be denied having some form of forum topic. Such a subsection could be called "employee startup businesses" or "small merchants" etc. I'm sure somebody could coin the right terminology/description for this.

    5) Allow same live chat, but set limitations on the employee side business topics. For instance, deny topics to fresh 'employee' sythe accs with low post count and modern creation date. Ie: employee has to have been on sythe for over a year or two to be granted the pleasure of having their own forum topic whilst working for a big merchant. This would stop the inevitable loophole being abused by some site owners having 20+ employees on fresh sythe accs spamming forum topics.

    6) Implement an application process similar to the OMM 'getting proofs' system. For example, an employee wants their own topics so they have to go through a checking system to ensure no sketchy behind the scenes syndication is occuring. The outcome could be voted: yes/no by staff or upper staff similarly to how suggestions and appeals are made.

    After reading the whole thread, my opinion is that a standard was set once Lime was told it wasn't allowed.

    If this was a group of random users doing this, i dont think this would be being discussed as there is already past history through Lime to show that it is not acceptable and that thread would have more than likely been referred back to when sorting it out.

    The only thing you can do is to bring some clarity to the grey area regarding this rule. I don't care whether or not they work solo or together, but make the rule the same for everyone. If they can do it, others should be allowed too.

    However, if you agree to leave it as it is, you have willingly denied others from doing this in the past and potentially cost them a lot of sales.

    I suggest appropriate action take place to all parties that were involved in this. We cannot have moderators thinking they’re above the rules and can abuse/find loopholes in the system whenever they want for their financial benefit. That is not the way a community is supposed to be.
