Staff Feedback

We can all agree it was a joke and all but as soon as any other non staff member does something like this, he/she is punished severely, banned and is blacklisted from ever getting any type of Moderator status on the site. Ask Sythe himself.

There are people who came to see Alt's pardon, left and won't come back to see that it was a joke. I'm sure there are people who were genuinely freaked out into thinking if Alt's did this, there's no telling what other Mods would be capable of.

It was a prank in poor taste, but I think everyone will get over it soon.
No one should be disappointed, but the point is to not treat Staff any different when the consequences are dealt. Alt, you know I love you but all I'm saying is that Staff shouldn't be put on a pedestal when dealt with.

kinda like x339, nobody here is a 30 year old man running a business, the mods are ur babysitters. get over it, they did a prank, a bad one, but a prank. who cares, it's 1 day, if u are so upset over it just leave.

Anyway, on topic wise, haven't seen much of Sin lately. maybe im just not on much.

 

Honestly, I like how Moderators have a bit of fun.
Makes them look like they are not that serious and can be fun to be around.
Maybe the prank was out of hand but in the end, it was a prank.
So I think everyone should lighten up a bit.

 

I'm glad y'all had fun with the AlteranZ thing. It wasn't really a good April fools joke though as much as a flat out troll. A good joke would have had people laughing at themselves later, not telling themselves "There's no way this can be a joke" until it's revealed.

I got fooled though. And I congratulate you on the effort you exerted into making it work.
It was funny though. Very clever story.

I'm glad Laptop is very active chat mod, but what I dislike is that he is the only one doing his job, instead other staff should help him, gj laptop; solves most of my questions <3

 

I just came back from a trip, and I just finished reading the whole Alteranz scenario. I don't see what the big deal is? The staff work consistently to get rid of scammers, spammers, trolls, etc., and to make this forum a better place. Having a joke once in awhile is NO big deal, and I actually found it very amusing. To all those who say Alteranz should be punished, I don't understand why you would say that. He is an extremely efficient moderator who does his job well, a harmless prank shouldn't have any ramifications. Also, take into consideration that staff are professional and remain so the MAJORITY of the time.

 

I'm probably going to get a lot of negative feedback from this post, but I don't care. It needs to be said.


All of you complaining about the Alteranz joke need to quit being so damn uptight. It was a small April Fools joke that ALTERANZ HIMSELF started. He wasn't the target of any malicious activity nor was anyone hurt by this. It was a SIMPLE FUCKING JOKE.

We spend OUR OWN free time to ensure YOUR SAFETY on the site, be it by banning scammers, RATers, whatever the case may be. We take ONE DAY (mind you, a day that EVERYONE associates with jokes and trolls) and have a little fun, and you guys cry like sniveling toddlers who didn't get dessert.

Get off your high horses and realize something - This is the internet. We, along with the rest of you, are nothing more than human beings who are here on a voluntary basis in order to HELP YOU. Don't demean us, don't trash talk us, don't BITCH when we want to have a little fun and play a HARMLESS FUCKING PRANK.

That's my rant. Bring on the negative feedback, because I honestly don't care what you have to say.

 

There is no reason to leave you negative feedback for that post N4N0. Your point is completely valid. Although I was deeply disappointed last night when I was convinced it was real, I honestly can see no harm that will come out of it and don't see why people are making such a big deal. I'm just glad it was a joke.

People should quit posting about this. It doesn't belong in the Staff Feedback and is pointless discussing anyway.

 

Like I said before, no one really cares, but the Staff shouldn't super fucking mad when a normal member does the same thing, say in the spam forum when it's a joke and a Moderator locks the topic when it was all in good fun to begin with.

Lol the wannabe mods need to put their vaginas away, The april fools jokes today in no way shape or form effect you. I thought Alteranz' was clever and Giddy's was just plain awesome.

Glad to see the staff take a day to have a little fun, they spend hours a day maintaining these forums to be as safe as possible for us to use, for no compensation... They are more than professional the other 364 days of the year, who do you guys think you are coming down on them for having a couple hours of laughs. You don't pay to use these forums that you profit off of, so let them be.

 

Our user base seems to have had a sense of humour bypass this year. Let's face it: there's not many chances that us staff members have to joke around. We take our roles seriously and act professionally 364 days a year. Everyone needs a little fun now and again.

 

And it's people like you who take the fun out of forums. Get off Alts ass and get over it, he risked his (I emphasize HIS) reputation to try and make a couple people laugh. It was shocking when I found out, then I laughed, just like I did when Metallica faked breaking up today or when that cool looking fake Zelda movie trailer came out a few years ago. Alt is one of the mods who's actually done a consistently good job over the years, mods are entitled to have fun once and a while. Don't forget that this is a community and not just a market.

 

Guys stop it with the debate, no matter what we do we'll always get positive responses and negative responses. It's all done and over with, so leave it behind.
