Speeding up your PC!

Welcome to my free guide on how to speed on your computer, there is a few steps to this and I will be glad to help you.

There are many reasons why your PC may be slow, it could be clutter, or your system specs. I will show you a few things to do and a few programs to install and use to help clean it out.

To start things off, how many startup items do you have on your PC(Programs that start when your computer does) If you have a bunch, it's good to clear them out, You can easily do this with many options, I use msconfig. If you'd like to access msconfig go to start, run and type in msconfig, or if you're a Windows Vista user just type it in the search box and hit enter.

Now you have msconfig up, now what?
Click on the startup tab and locate some startup items that are unneccicary, such as MSN and chat programs, game programs or things like iTunes, uncheck them if you wish(This will speed up logging into windows by a ton!)

Now go into the services tab of msconfig, locate microsoft error reporting service, uncheck that and apply everything.

You are finished with msconfig.

Now we will go on to clutter, you can download a program called ccleaner(ccleaner.com) and simply install it and run the cleaner helps free a lot of HD space on your PC. I wouldn't worry about registry.

Once you have ccleaner completed, we can move on to the appearance to your computer, disabling the fancy GUI can speed it up by quite a lot. I will show you how to get the classical look to your computer and help speed it up, Click on start or this may be on your desktop, right click my computer, choose properties (if your using windows vista choose advanced system settings then advanced tab) otherwise just click the advanced tab and
under performance click settings adjust for best appearance and click OK you're done!

If you have malware of any sort this can slow it down too, use MalwareBytes' antimalware to remove that, plain and simple.

Defragging can help too(You can do this within windows in accessories)

Your computer should be faster than it was.
