sony cd-rw crx217e Help!

Yeah, supposedly this can play DVD's but it just doesn't. When a DVD is in the drive it doesn't read that anything is there except that it says the DVD on the pie chart is 100% Full. Any help/suggestions? I am trying to burn some movies by Friday >.<!

 

I would check the Sony website for support, email them, call them, etc. I dont think you would get much help here...

And yeah check sony website, they should have some drivers or numbers to call.

 

No I mean CD which is f'd up because when I got the computer they said it played DVD's screw sony, and dell. (5 yrs. ago)

Anyways if there is a way , which there probably isn't, I will give someone 1m on RS if they get it to work (which is why I think it won't) CD f sony.

 

Had the same problem the first time...

Check to see if your Comp is DVD + RW or DVD - RW

And make sure the RW is the one you need.

 

Are you sure it will work with a fricken CD drive? Okay a nice little guide would be worth 1m, I mean VERY descriptive lol. Loss of sleep.

some cdz just don't play in some drives... idk why... Like sum1 said above... try troubleshooting

 

Whatever you guys don't understand, CD's work fine, its a cd player. Dell just jipped me and said it played DVD's I know that there are different types of discs, and I am saying thats not the problem.

 

I think this is settled, you have a CD-RW, if you want to play DVDs you need a DVD-R/RW. You should do a little research before you go out and buy a computer. Dell sucks, remember that.
