help with dvd

I have a dvd that is not copyrighted or anything its just an instructional dvd and I have a blank DVD+R that I want to copy the movie to. What do i need to do to acomplish this? When i open the dvd's files there is a video folder and and audio foler with files in each. if I copy those two folders to the dvd then will it play in a dvd player? I need help with this, thanks alot!
